Another one unemployed (not me!)
No, it's my brother. He got his date ... his last day will be Oct. 19. They had figured it was going to be in November, but it's been moved up. There's no work for them to do, all the printing has been moved to Houston (he works for AIG's Life insurance division in Milwaukee, the office is being closed). He's 57, so good luck finding another job at his age. At least now he knows. He also gets nine months of severance with benefits, plus a $5,000 bonus for sticking it out to the end, so it's not all bad. But still ... not all great either.
Hi Eileen, thanks for keeping us updated on Brenda. I'm sure sorry to hear about Bill's job and the trouble with the DIL --- yikes!
Somehow I think your brother won't have a hard time finding a job. He just seems like a person that could work anywhere.....so he does have some time to search with his severance and all. I just have a good feeling about it.
Hope you are getting rested on your vacation. The weather has sure been nasty down here, hope it's better up your way.
