Oh George, I'm so sorry for Penny and your family. I will certainly keep you in my thoughts today.

Your dinner out sounds like lots of fun. Our San Diego Chargers are playing the Steeler's on Sunday Night Football and we're so excited! I plan on cracking the whip around here, then I'll let everyone relax for the game. My own personal game plan.

I got the French door painted yesterday, and the taping around the trim in the hallway done, so when I get home from work today I can paint. Our yard fairy(same as other people's cleaning fairy, but outside) came yesterday and did some extra things around the yard that we had intended to do but haven't gotten to yet. What a guy!  So, now all we have to do is spread some mulch and that's done!  Yipeeeeee

That's about it for me. Work today, and then try to find some place to get a flu shot. Our doctor's office is out of them, not getting anymore in for another month. Sure don't want to wait too long!

Okay....everyone have a great day and know I love ya!

Susan, I don't know if you have Walgreen's Drug Stores in your area, but if you do, they are giving the flu shots.

Yes, we do. I called them last night and the one near the salon only has 45 left. I'm hoping to get there before work.

Looking for a flu shot?  Not me.  The doc has to corner me to give me one.  He and Mary doubleteam me if I am in the office while they are giving them.  So I try to stay out of his office during the season.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George,

So sorry to hear of your daughter's miscarriage.  Extra prayers going up for her.  It sounds like Mary is fully recuperated - YAY!

We have my brother-in-law's wedding Saturday night.  My DH is best man.  Can't wait.  Daughter is coming in from New York, so we're going to have a BALL!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Forgot to add a funny....

3:35 this a.m. Gary hears a noise in the opposite part of the house. Get's up, grabs his gun out of the nightstand and goes out to investigate (in his boxers...tmi).  Of course the fearless pit bull Baxter is on the bed with me, my great protector.

Anyway, soon Gary comes back, says all is well, closes the door and tells me to go back to sleep. When I did get up, I asked him if he found out what the noise was.

The ice maker dropping cubes.

Thank God he didn't shoot the refrigerator!

Yep, there's been plenty of times I wanted to shoot it, just never thought it was a real threat!

Mike will do this too. He'll wake me out of what is all too infrequent of a sound sleep to tell me he "hears something." So? What am I supposed to do about it! One morning he found out his "something" was one of those little suction washcloth holders in the shower that had decided it didn't have enough "suction" to hang on through the night!

Oh, that's funny.

My cat Scooter is extremely neurotic. When he first joined my household, he spent most of the time in the spare bedroom, but eventually he ventured into the living room and made himself comfortable on one of the recliners (the one I wasn't on). He was only there for about 10 minutes when the refrigerator motor kicked in. That scared the bejesus out of him and he was off the recliner in a flash ... back in the spare bedroom. He was also scared of the ceiling fans when we first moved into the condo. I had to add that about the fridge when you talk about the ice cube maker ... every now and then, it drops some cubes and Scooter jumps like something's going to get him. He's terrified of that noise, too.
