karen...sounds like different cir****tances in your case...and sounds owie! i know that one side of my ankle is still hurting like the dickens-and it's almost two weeks since i fell- and tonite it itches- the skin has been quite hot and red over the one area....and the tiop of my foot is still somewhat blue! hoping to have a shoe on soon!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

My friend Roxane has screws in her ankle from a break (never removed) and my sister-in-law Margaret has screws and a rod in her leg from a break (never removed). I thought they just left these things in. I know Rox has problems with her ankle (hers came from a cross-country ski accident ... boot wasn't properly in the ski; she was a month pregnant at the time with my godchild). Margaret's happened a couple Christmas seasons ago at our family get-together; she and my brother were getting ready to go and she fell down the stairs. My mom has said since then our get-together is jinxed (before then, I hurt my knee the week before, my niece's FIL died the day of and then Margaret's accident). Last year, nothing happened, so we hope the jinx is dead.

Hi George,
Just wanted to send my best wishes to you and your daughter and the rest of your family.  Being someone who had a number of miscarriages I can totally understand how your daughter is feeling.

I truly hurt for her and wish her speedy healing.
My thoughts are with her.
