More on Brenda

Got a call this morning from Brenda: her husband Bill lost his job. Some company bought the old company out, and everyone got fired. So he's out of work. Also, her stepson's wife came back, there was an argument and she held a knife to his throat before leaving again. It seem they will be splitting up. She doesn't know much more than that. Poor little baby appears to be without a mother ... she wouldn't do anything for the baby when she came home. Kayden will need his Grandma Brenda more and more. Lucky he has her.

Keep them in your thoughts or prayers, please, whatever it is you do.

OMG....how terrible.
I hope they are doing something to ensure their safety.  It's nothing to make light of having a knife pulled and put to his throat.
My heart goes out the Brenda, Bill, their son and the baby.  The boys are lucky they have Brenda.

I am soooo sorry to hear this news.  They don't deserve these problems...  I miss her sweet smile around here...

OMG, how dreadful.  He needs to get full custody of the baby ASAP to protect them.  She needs therapy.  Maybe they all should think about a restraining order.  People are just sick!

When it rains, it pours.  I hope things look up for them soon!  Thanks for keeping us posted.

Eileen...that is horrible...losing Bill's job was bad enough but knives at peoples throats is very serious...hope the police are involved. They need to get any kind of custody away from the mother until she has some serious kind of treatment!!

Thanks Eileen for the update. So very sad about Brenda's husband losing his job. That can be so upsetting and can change lives of many. I think Brenda's DIL is in full blown postpartum depression, unless she was ill before having her baby. I hate the picture that popped into my mind of a news article saying "husband, baby killed......mother commits suicide" I'm flashing back to my days on the suicide crisis line. You cannot imagine how many times we got calls just like that....sometimes we could intervene and the person would get mental health treatment, but occasionally we would lose a caller, or a whole family. That's why I was unable to do that job for more than two years!!

Brenda is such a loving woman, and is so generous with praise, love and support. I am so sad that she is having to deal with this horrendous situation instead if taking care of herself.

I'm stunned. The situation with the stepson/dil was bad enough, but now what will they do with Bill not working?  OMG???

Funny, it wasn't too very long ago when Brenda thought that she wouldn't be involved in any part of Kayden's life, now it appears she is all he has. I feel badly for all of them, especially Kayden. Thankfully he's too young to know what is happening around him.

 "Stunned"  is the best description.   What a mess.  Hopefully, the new company will hire back some of the previous workers.  I can only imagine what Brenda is going through.  Our love and prayers are for her.....
