Welcome to a great forum!!
I am Canadian and feel so much better since last year.
I am 59 and it is great to be able to talk to people my own age about the trials and problems of this surgery.

Yet another welcome for you.  It is nice to talk to people more our own age.  We have different needs than the youngsters, and different problems too. :)  I tend to visit this forum and the Michigan forum only.  I don't find the other forums to be as kind.  This is a good place to be.
I ride a Harley.  A 2003 Heritage Softail.  Hubby has an Electra Glide Classic.  I also love to ride horses.  I've had a Leopard Appaloosa, a palamino and a BIG strawberry roan.  Then I gained too much weight and gave them up.  My girlfriend has two horses that she shows and always wanted me to go riding with her, but I felt I was too fat.  Now, after RNY, and down about 50 lbs, I'm ready to ride.  Can't wait.  maybe I'll lease one, we'll see.
Hope you make a habit of coming here.

For those of you who asked and wanted to know more. I am from Klamath Falls, Oregon.   My mother was Klamath and Modoc Indian. I am related to  the famous Modoc, Captain Jack on my mother's side.   My birth father was Portugese.  The father who raised me was Edison Chiloquin.  He was a great man. I was truely blessed to have him in my life.   I grew up in Chiloquin, Oregon.  The town of Chiloquin was named after his grandfather.  His grandfather was a signer of the1864  treaty with the Klamath, Modoc, & Yahooskin (Paiute) Indians who lived in this area. I had a very interesting childhood.  My father made us nationally known when he refused to take money for the sale of the Klamath Reservation.  He won the right to keep the land.  It took an act of Congress - The Chiloquin Act to do it.  If you "google" Edison Chiloquin you can find more on this.

Cool history ... I am fascinated by Native American history. I lived in Montana and South Dakota for 13 years (now Michigan ... grew up in the Chicago area, but feel like a Westerner at heart).
