Well I'm back for the next 9 days...
Margo, I know the conversation.  Gary and I have already purchased our plots and our headstone is in the ground just waiting for the last date to be inscribed.  Our kids thought it was kind of weird, until we explained that we didn't want them to be burdened with all of that.  The cemetery even sent us a picture when the headstone was installed.  It makes us feel better that we've been able to make some of the arrangements.  Funerals are for the living, so if the boys feel they need to have a viewing, so be it.  By that time I won't care about anything like that.  Hopefully you won't be worrying about that stuff for a long time to come.
A lot of people out there need good vibes right now and I'm praying for all of my OFF acquaintences and their families.  It's the least I can do.

Off to find something for lunch before the cable guy comes.

Hi Margo and my OFF family:

Margo, I hope all goes well today. I'm thinking of you and Michael. It's after noon so maybe he's done with his procedure by now.

It was cool and raining again when I got up this morning, the sun came out for awhile and now it's clouding up again. My body feels like crap with all this rain. Knees, legs, back, shoulders ... hasn't helped me sleep well, either.

I go back to work today. Wish I could work four weeks and get 48 weeks of vacation, but that's not how it works.

Not much else going on. Kitties are snoozing on my bed. Leaves are really changing now that we've had a frost. I got most of my Halloween stuff up, so I don't feel I was a complete slug on my week off. It looks nice.

Have a good day.

I am praying that all goes well for Michael.  You know you have all of us to lean on.  We are in that age group where we see illness more and more.  I decided there are only 4 stages to life.

Stage one:  your parents take care of you
Stage two :  you take care of yourself
Stage three:  you take care of your parents
Stage four:  you hope your kids take care of you.

It seems that stage 2 and 3 seem to overlap quite a bit.

Keep us posted and please take care of yourself.  You will not be abe to care for Michael if you are not well.  Get as much rest as you can, solicit and accept help.  Don't forget to eat and take your vitamins.  It is hard to eat properly away from home and under stress.  Just keep on Keeping on.
