The Monday What's New Revue

Jan, before Kayden was born I saw a book at WalMart and got it for him. I read it to him often and it is called "Heaven Is Having You" and the author is Giles Andreae. It is about a Grandma and Grandpa bear and their little Grandson and when he comes to visit at their house. I loved it and when I finished it I was crying because we never dreamed that we would ever be Grandparents. DS and DIL was married almost 7 years and was told that they wouldn't have a baby.

When I read it to Kayden he watches me and looks at the book. I know that it is because he likes the inflections in my voice when I read it but I like to think that it is because he knows what I am saying. In the end of the book Grandma tells the baby that most of all heaven is having you. I read that and then give Kayden our Grandma kisses and I tell him that heaven is having my Baby Kayden. He smiles and kisses me back....rather messy but they are still precious as most Grandma's would say!

Thanks Brenda.  I wrote down the book and will look at it the next time I go to WalMart.  Nothing better than reading to children!  Especially Grandchildren!

It is snowing this morning....we are supposed to get 5 inches...UGH!!!

Nic, Jamie and Grace are on their way to Memphis today. They will spend the night in St Louis and then continue on in the morning. Nic does most of the driving and really enjoys that. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers....thank you!

The Vikings won yesterday and I am happy about that...woooohooooo! I had a great time with my friends watching the game.

Sounds like there are plenty of people here needing prayers....you can count on me!

I guess I better get working...Mondays are always so hectic. More then enough stuff to do to keep me busy!

SNOW.........wow. 
I realized this weekend that this will be the first year in my life that I do not see any snow.....I've always lived much further north so unless it snows in Florida I won't be seeing any.  I always liked the snow but got real tired of shoveling it and got tired of freezing...hence the move south.

Where did you live in the north?

I spent most of my life in NY and then moved to Omaha NE for almost 5 years....now we had some serious snow there!

Believe it or not, the one thing I really miss from living up north is the snow.  I love it.

i know where you can buy a wonderful ranch style house- no french doors but two sliders!
and snow is guaranteed..............

BRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! it IS cold here in ohio!!! 44 and a wind chill of 39!!!! BRRRRRRRRRRRRR atleast it isn't raining or snowing...YET leaves are really changing color now and falling so i guess it won't be long now that winter will be here....was chilled last night and had to finally turn the heat on...just long enough to take the chill out...and yes i had to turn it on again this morning to do the same.

congrats to all the newbies and welcome also!!!! i just don't seem to have alot of time on here over the weekend with me working long hours...but know i DO read all of the posts when i am on here!!!

man i am hurting head to toe!!!! my hips hurt so bad and so does my knee....after i got home from work last nighti sat in the lazyboy and when i went to get up...i couldn't!!!! omg i was sitting there tryine hard to get up and when i finally did get up i hurt so bad in the bend of my ankles it hurt to walk!!! my hips hurt big time....i keep thinking what happens if i end up in a wheelchair.... omg i hope that never happens!!! i guess i should call my pcp and see if i should get a test or something on my hips, knee and ankles....i am sure it is arthritis but still i HURT...is there a test for that fibromyalgia (sp) ??? everytime i see that commercial on tv i wonder if i am getting that...seems my pain is huting me more and more as the weather gets colder....sighs....or could it be that i will be 57 soon???

working 1-5 today then off tuesday and wednesday...yippeee days of rest...i hope!!! saturday is ricks birthday...not sure what i will do for him yet...money is very tight now with rent increase and him not getting any hours at work again...i wish someone would call him for a job!!! hes turned in several apps and not even a call back...i told him to start calling THEM back and see if that gets him anywhere....

still trying to figure out this pc and getting an ecard to my secret pal!! its very frustrating to say the least.....when i had aol it was no problem!!!! GRRRRRR but then i still haven't heard from my secret pal either so now i don't feel so bad....but secret pal i AM trying to get intouch with you soon!!!!! please don't be angry or upset that you haven't heard from me yet... ;-) i am looking for something special for you also so hang in there please!!!

have alot more flowers made and soon i will start hooking them together and i just know its going to be the best afghan i made ever!!!!

well time to get a hot shower and see if i can get these sore body parts moving better....man it sucks to get old.... :0(
