Good Sunday Morning-whats new?
So how is everyone?
I'm doing OK. Getting better in fact from a bout of shingles that popped up this week. Not fun, but not as bad as it could have been. Having shingles the second time in about 6-8 months brought me to making a tough decision this week. I've decided to resign from the animal rescue biz for a few years. I'm starting school later this month (2 online pre req classes that I need to get in to be accepted into the BSN program) and will be taking 2 more classes in Feb. Plus work will be extremely busy in the next year or more with getting a new house wide system that I'll be working on and my parents just moved closer to me and while I know they are exhausted I see them needing more help in the next year or so. I just cannot do everything and something needed to go. Since I cannot retire yet (sigh, WISH!) The something was Planned Pethood.
Like I said, I start 2 online classes the end of this month, a basic computer class which I SHOULD be able to pass easily and US History to 1877 which should be good for me too, I've always liked history. In Feb I'll be taking music appreciation and religions of the world. I love classical music and that class could be interesting, I'm tone deaf so may not hear what others do, but can appreciate it anyway. The religions class sounds interesting too, and I've always been interested in that type of thing.
I still have hopes of finding a person to rent 2 bedrooms from me to help with monthly bills. SIGH.....still waiting on one to decide the end of the month, no one else has decided to do it since I live so "far" out in the boonies. Yeah. what ever.
Weight is staying about the same, about 30# more then my lowest but I also admit that with being "sickish" a lot this year to not exercising a much as I was before. Been going thru a blue time too for the past 6 months or so and have switched meds, so hopefully they will kick in soon too.
So enough drivel about me, whats new with all of you? I read occasionally but don't know details of a lot of stuff going on, so fill me everyone!
Have a great day!

320 highest, 302 consultation, 289 surgery. Total weight loss:165lbs.
Busy morning yesterday, cleaned my house, did two loads of laundry, and took advantage of $1 specials at Kroger....also drove out to my son's to see his new building -- it's all finished inside and he's moved most of his "locksmith" business from their garage out there. He did a good job - one end he has carpeted and says it's his "man room"....in case he gets in "trouble".....lol
Worked on cross stitch all afternoon -- took out the pattern I had started on a towel because I didn't like it.....lots of 1/2 stitches to remove and it was a struggle but it's done and I have already started a new pattern of beautiful fall leaves....simple but pretty. Watched the President's Cup golf match.....well, listened to it mostly because I was stitching.
Debbie sounds like you have plenty on your plate...I know you hate to give up the "pet" job, but sometimes we just have to do that. In this past year I am proud to say I have said "NO" quite a bit. Since I am going on 71, it's time for younger folk to step up and take on things I would have considered. And I don't feel guilty at all.
Off to church and Bible Class soon. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Done! Your Ticker:
Busy weekend for me..today we are weatherizing the house..you know checking for insulation, plastic over the windows, and putting plastic around the porch. My son has the awesome duty of climbing on the roof and sweeping off all of the maples leaves and sticks from our trees.
I'm really terrible and haven't even turned on the heat yet. I hate the thought of the money involved!!! Yesterday I broke down and bought a small ceramic heater for the living room. The cats love it!!! So do I!!
Later on is dinner at my daughters. Tomorrow is busy too...getting things done and preparing for surgery on Tuesday. Finally getting the gall bladder out and hoping the abd. pain will go away for good. We'll see!!
Better get moving...people will be here soon to start all of the work I need to get done before Tues.
Have a great week end everyone...probably won't write again until Thursday or Friday as I will be staying over night at the hospital.
Hugs and smiles to all!!!
Marcy
Again thank you and keep smiling. You're an angel to think of me.

Good morning, ya'll.
Yesterday was a very 'down' day for me. I was close to tears all day and just feeling sorry for myself. Very tired, took naps, just vegged! My weight was down to 142 this morning. It is just falling off! Today I concentrate on eating. The surgeon said he didn't want me to lose anymore weight before my chemo. And at that point I was 152.
I get my chemo port on Thursday, but won't be starting chemo until I get back from Oregon in November. At least, that is the plan. If I continue to be this tired, the OR trip may have to cancelled. That will cost my daughter a LOT of money!!
My DIL is having to take time off to get me to and from all these places. My son will be deploying soon so they are VERY busy, and it is hard for him to get the time. My daughter will be back down for part of the chemo, to help with the driving, etc. My Sis also says she wants to come and take her turn shuttling me back and forth. Thank God for my wonderful family!
We have nice fall weather, and I love being able to have the windows open. It smells so nice!
Oh, got my first statement from the hosp on my liver resection and week stay. They are billing the insurance company $62,000!! I can't wait to see what my portion of that is! Luckily, my yearly catastrophic cap is pretty low. Unluckily, the new fiscal year began Oct 1st and we start all over with yearly deductibles and catastrphic caps, etc. I can understand how people can go bankrupt from doctor bills!
Have a fantabulous day!
