Good Morning Carla and everone on OFF.  It's almost morning here in Central Time zone of NW North Dakota. (11:57 pm to be exact).  I cannot sleep.  I ache all over, have a headache and stuffed up nose.  You dont 'spose I'm coming down with one of those dreaded "COMMON COLDS" do you?  There is alot of that going around here...flu and colds but no "Whiney Swiney" flu reported as of yet.  The weather is bitterly cold with the winds blowing at 25-35 mph and temps only in the twenties.  It is supposed to warm up this weekend though and be in the fifties again.  We still need to have Indian Summer instead of snow, rain and wind.  I took Bentley, our little 7 mth old Shih Tzu puppy for our daily walk and about froze to death.
I am looking forward to my one year visit/checkup with my dear bariatrics surgeon next month.  I hope the weather cooperates as we have to drive  about 225 miles to where he practices.  My birthday is around the same time so I'm hoping to spend a few days there shopping after the blood work and visit with the bariatric staff.  Bismarck, the capitol of ND, is much larger than the town we live in and the shopping is great there.
Prayers and Good thoughts to all who need them.  Each and every one of you are dear people and deserve the best.

Hugs,
Sandy

Hi Everyone,

Sounds like everyone is up and raring to go.  George I hope that your blood count gets better.  I will be thinking about you.

It is nice to hear from everyone, everyday.  Gives me a lift knowing there are people out there with problems and other people care about them.  Nice group of people.  Too bad we didn't live closer.  We could all gather over a protein shake...lol.

Nothing too new here, have some cleaning to do and fill out paper work for Avon. I need to get more organized.   Some reason my brain is not working right.   Well, that is nothing new, honestly.

I hope everyone has a good day, sorry to hear about the bad weather in CA.  I hope there are no mud slides like they claim may happen in the news.

I am complaing about cold weather here in Ohio and I feel ashamed when I see other States being hit so hard.

Well,  Take care everyone  and talk later or tomorrow.   I don't think anything exciting is happening tomorrow that I know of.  Just letting you know early..lol

Sandy, my cousins grand daughter lives in Fargo...are you close to there?

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi Brenda.....Fargo is on the east end of ND.  Minnesota is their neighboring state where Montana is our neighboring state.  We are about 450 miles apart .  It's good to see you back online again.
Much Hugs to you and your grandson ...He sounds adorable.

Hi All,
We had a crazy day at school- at 9:00 AM the power went off... a huge tree in the parking lot decided not to fight the wind and rain any longer and it landed on power lines. It was a huge mess- no electricity all day, but we soldiered on. The kids were understandably excited, but the day was long and hard. Lunch was served in classrooms (I'm not used to serving up lunches... that was interesting), there were no recesses, and none of us could leave the school until the electricity was completely off (late in the afternoon). Our cars were under these wires and trees (three more came down by closing time)- a few were damaged, but not mine. I went out to take pictures and an hour later they told us that those wires were live- no walking in the lot. I just felt a little "tingle" (just kidding- I guess what I did was kind of dangerous). When we were finally released I got on the freeway just in yime for a humongous traffic jam caused by big rigs that were flipped and blocking all of the freeway lanes. I was so tired by the time I got home that I almost didn't go to the concert that I had tickets for tonight, but I went anyway. I'm so glad I did! It was really great- Cajun, country, bluegrass... very enjoyable. I need to get to bed now... I'm almost scared to go to work tomorrow- I don't want another day like today!

Julia,
That sounds like a day you should have stayed in bed. Have a better one today.

Be strong little soldier!   My hat's off to you. What an adventure for the kids, and a nightmare for you.

It's amazing how different the weather effects different areas. We've had nearly 70 inches of rain here since the first of the year. I lived in CA for 50 years and don't think there were 70 inches of rain total in those 50 years....lol, just kidding!  But, we take that rain with a grain of salt and keep going. In CA you have downed trees, power lines and traffic accidents and it makes the National News.  Such an interesting comparison.

Take care driving, and please be careful!

Susan

Julia...I am glad you are alright.

That was dangerous them leaving everyone at the school when the weather was so bad and no power. Especially with lines down!

The kids probably thought it was cool!!

OMG  what an exciting day.....   I bet it sounds better on paper than it does in reality... lol  we are getting our fair share of rain, wind, and typical fall weather here.  I have the heat on and really didn't want to turn it on... a sure sign winter is close behind.

I'm making cookies for my granddaughter and am trying desperately to stay out of them.  So far two tastes of batter and one cookie.....  jeeezzz the sugar..  ugh.

Have a great day..

Millie
