Good morning all.  Thank you for getting us going here Carla.  Good luck with the job.

My friend's family is real shook up at the loss of the coach.  He was the tennis coach and she has two girls on the high school varsity team.  One is a freshman.  They are still saying there is no evidence of foul play, but they did say there was a gun in the truck.  Don't know what to make of that.  I guess more details will be released in days to come.

I came in to work early today, so I get to leave early.  I left the part time job 3 hours early to do it.  Had my conversation with the boss's boss.  All is fine.

I had to go to the oncologist today.  My white blood cell count is still bordering on low.  Around 4000.  He told me to come back in six months, and if it is still low, they will have to do something with my bone marrow.  That doesn't sound good.  But I will pray and carry on.

By coming to work early, I missed both NCIS's tonight.  Fortunately, I can watch the LA one and the Good Wife tonight on my cell phone and the other one I DVR'd.  I am spoiled.  I will catch up on my TV this weekend.  After I work the part time job on Saturday, I will go home and Mary will go to some stamping party.  Then she has a banquet that night for the Texas Rangers Woman's Club.  So I will basically be alone from 1:30 PM until about 10PM.  I am not much of a college football fan, so I will watch my DVR'd shows.

Have a good day.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George, is the coach still missing? I'm guessing they found his truck, with the gun in it, but you didn't say anything about him.  I'm sorry that this sounds like there won't be a good outcome, but I'll keep positive thoughts and prayers.

good morning!
carla come back here and clean!
work was long-no sleep came at nap time nor at bed time so today will be interesting-tho not as challenging as julia's spark of a day!

on my way to work yesterday; just after leaving my street and going down then up a small hill, a coyote ran out in front of my car-and i mean i dunno how we didn't collide! scared the crud outta me-started my heart! i called michael to warn him about leaving roxiethewonderdog out alone! we had heard they were near but this was closer than i wanted to get to one!

today i have to call one of the hospitals-they have decided that "we" are now responsible for the balance of a bill for PT after they  charged his insurance- that is bs cuz it's wprker's comp all the way on that one.....

sending hugs and prayers

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Wow, coyotes usually don't come out much during the day. What a scare!  Yep, keep that little dog close to you, she'd make a tasty treat for one of those critters.

Good morning Carla and my OFF friends,

Welcome to my world, Carla!  I've been cleaning and digging out for three weeks now, getting ready for the sisters coming on Friday. Thankfully, this means the house is clean and ready for some time to come, so we will be able to relax!
My computer was down for almost 18 hours on Monday. It's terrible how dependant we've become on them, but man, did I get a lot done being unable to sit in front of the screen and veg...lol.   I missed so much while I wasn't able to check in. Sorry so many are having such a rough time of it now. It seems to come in waves, doesn't it? So.....my thoughts and prayers are out to all of you. Even when I'm not here, you're in my heart!

Good morning Carla and OFF friends,

I stayed in bed until 7 a.m. this morning and what a treat it was.  I really need to get some heavy duty piano lesson practice in there today since I've slacked the past couple of days.  Other than that, not too much new going on here today.

Wishing everyone happiness, good health and peace!

Good morning everyone.  Prayers going out to those in need.  Life is good  here.  The weather yesterday was in the high 70s but a cool front came in and we will be in the low 60s today.  brrr.  No winds to speak of here except those that come off the ocean.  I am far enough in land that we don't get them.   It sounds like some of you have had some pretty nasty cold weather.  I feel for you.
Yesterday morning, some misguided driver had a crane or something sticking up from his vehicle and drove straight into the overpass that leads to the Military Base where I work.  So, the overpass is closed and traffic can go in and out only one way through that gate which is the Main Gate.  I had to leave early to get to my Dr appt.  Then of course freezing on the hard table waiting for the Dr to come in the office while dressed in only paper.   It is torture and I actually am paying money for it???   So, she ends up telling me she feels a lump while doing the breast exam.  I am not worried because I had a mammogram in July and all was well.  But she is sending me back for another one.  Just one more thing to fit into my already full schedule.  Plus now the crazy doc wants me to get a colonoscopy!  UGH.  Being in your 50s is not always fun.  I never wanted one and I still don't.  Well, thanks for letting me whine and complain.
I have a son in his freshman yr at college.  He is sick with strep throat.  I can't even feel sorry for  him because the idiot kid got busted for underage drinking Friday night.  He had to pay a $100 fine and he goes to court next month.  He is not working so money was an issue for him.  He had to sell his Wii to get the money because we would not pay it for him.  I was so angry with him that I let his father handle the mess.  I didn't even want to talk with him.  he and his buddies were walking around the campus late at night.  Of course you will be stopped. He has no brains sometimes.  He blew a .01.   So, he wasn't drunk but that doesn't matter when you are only 18 to begin with.  Am I having fun yet?
