Sandy,  I had to laugh at your reaction to your son's underage drinking.  Can you honestly say that you never tried it before you were of age?  I can't, but I was lucky and never got caught.  I was really lucky I never got caught doing a lot of stupid things at 18-21.  I look back and cringe sometimes :)
We always told our boys that if they got hauled in for drinking and driving not to call us, because they were going to sit there and put in their time.  Drinking was one thing, but drinking and driving was definately tabu.  You did the right thing absolutely by making him responsible for paying the fine.  Selling the Wii will hurt a lot more than 'owing' Mom and Dad the money.  Hopefully he'll learn a lesson from that one.  Just breathe, this too will pass...
It is what it is.

Oh I would have killed me if I were my kid.  I did that and worse.   I think what I was most upset about was that I have told him many times that if you are going to drink, don't go out.  I am very grateful he was no where near his car too.  I had already spoken to  him that night and told him to go to bed.  He said it was early.  I told him nothing happens late at night but stuff that shouldn't be  happening.  Oh well, live and learn like you said.  Deep breath.  ahhhh

Today will be a busy day of doing household stuff.  The garage door guy just pulled in to install my new garage door and opener.  Wahool
Now I can go strip the bed, wash the sheets and put them back on.  I love these sheets, they're 1,000 thread count that I got for Christmas.  Feel so luxurious.  Then cleaning the bathrooms and doing some dishes I didn't do yesterday.  Living up here without a dishwasher stinks but its a trade off.

It is what it is.
If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it...

Hi everyone,

My surgery anniversary is the same as Judy and I go to the doc today.  Many changes this past year and no regrets.  We survived the big storm without incident except for a brief power failure.  The creek is running and I'm grateful that all the living things have a drink now.  Also I'm celebrating a birthday soon too...on Monday the 19Th.

Not much new to report.  Disappointed that my son, Tom, will not be able to visit as planned.  I'm still going through the legal BS concerning my retirement with a former employer and trying to rent my spare room.  But life is good and I'm getting caught up on some projects around the house.

Spent most of yesterday listening to the storm with a fire in the wood stove and a good book.  Need to visit the library today for more.  I have a pot of beef stew in the fridge for dinners the next couple of days and have been into spicy black bean and cheddar quesadillas for lunch lately.  Also enjoying the apples and pears from the garden.  The strawberries have rallied for a third crop this year and I'm jockeying with the critters for my share of those.

May your day be bright, beaming and better than average.
XOXO, CV Linda

Hi Everyone, It has been cold and snowy here. My DH is winding up bean harvest. We are planning a trip to Estes Park. Our daughter gave us a certificate for a weekend in a condo. I love it there. Have a great week everyone. Mona

Good Morning!

Carla, when you are done with your room can you work on my garage???? LOL

Still hot here but temps should drop a bit on the weekend.  Getting down to the 80's will be nice.

Just scheduled my next round of plastics to take care of my lower body (Butt Lift w/augmentation and outer thigh lift).  Sure hope the thigh lift helps take care of the thunder thighs that flap around.  Seems so odd to me that I am going to pay someone to cut my butt up and ADD volume to it.  Never in my life did I ever worry about nothing having a big butt.  LOL
After that I'll do the Inner Thighs and re-do my arms.  Can't wait for it to be all done.  It will be a rough time the next 4-6 months (at a minimum) but at least it will be over.

Had an exhausting day yesterday.....left at 9am to go see my surgeon....stopped at a couple stores on the way home and didn't get back till 5:15 pm. I didn't realize just how tired I would feel.  I guess I need to remind myself I am only 6 weeks out from major surgery.

Going to try to find my box of note paper/cards today so I can send out notes to some friends to catch up.  Trying to revert to the "old fashioned" way of reaching out instead of just emailing or a typed letter.

Hope all have a great day...
Be well, Be happy!

Hey Ruth,
I hate cleaning!!!!! So it is a very rare moment that I do it, But it has to be done!!!!!
I cant wait till it cools off here. I am waiting for a cold front to blast through!!!!!
I wont have my inner thigh done unless it is an emergency. I heard that surgery is a bitter one.
I did have my butt lifted when I had my lower body lift. It raised my outher thighs but not the inner. I guess Ill just have to go with the charpai look. I heard it is the in thing to have!!!!!

Good Morning Carla and everyone.....

Weird things happening with my phones...been on my cell phone with the phone company for hours. What a mess!! I think I have ghosts or gremlins or something!!!!

Nic is safely at St. Judes....testing started this morning....he is not happy!! I know my Nic...he will do all that is asked anyway.

As for me I am hanging in there...still upset about all the children that have died in the last month on the Caring Bridge Site....I have gotten to know so many of them.
Some of these families are really struggling with their loss...it is so sad.

I don't have anything exciting to chat about so I will go for now.

Prayers to all that need them.

Love and hugs to all......connie d

This is the site for my niece's friend.  Mel used to live with my sister and is a fantastic nurse.  She fell off her bike and hit her head.
Sad, very sad.
