Thought I'd better check in!!
HI All
I am not dead, yet!! I'm addicted to Facebook these days.
So i don't check in nearly as much
as I should. Too many games to play. I went to San Diego over this past weekend & surprised my Mommy for a 2 day visit. She turned
87 on Tuesday the 13th. She was totally surprised when I walked into where she works & said
had a hug from your daughter lately. (she cried) Also said she was too darn old for surprises like that. Hey 87 & can still work 35 hrs a week. Not bad!!
I am still unemployed, been a year the end of this month since I have worked. It sucks. That is why I am still living with my x until work comes my way. Re-applying at a couple different places
that might come through. I sure hope so.
I fell a couple of days ago off a 2 step ladder, not far, but enough to do more damage to my
already screwed up back. Been in a lot more pain the past coupld of days. Still don't know when
surgery might be, these Doc's out here don't seem to think it's the emergency they once stated it
was. Soo confused on that one!!
I joined TOPS a few weeks ago & lost 3 lbs then gained it back, so right where I started still fighting the 30 lbs regain. At least is isnt 50 anymore.
Things are not great, but, could be a whole lot worse. God is still on my side & without him,
Would be nothing.
So there is my update in a nutshell. If anyone wants to find me on Spacebook I listed as Marilyn J Clifford. (there is about 5 Marilyn Clifford's) so had to add the J for some folks to find me. Hope you are all doing well!!
I will try & catch up on some reading from this board. Havent even been reading, sorry to say.
I was posting most days & certainly at least every couple of days would post something. This
is bad me. It's been awhile since I checked back in. Will try & do better.
Lots of Love to you all

Hi Marilyn,
Glad to see you, like you I've been bitten by the games bug of Facebook, but I can only access them at night, so usually one night of my weekend is spent playing 'em. . .
That is terrific about your Mom being in the kind of condition to be working 35 hours a week at the age of 87. Congrats on the 20 you've taken back off, as I noted in my post yesterday, after a point, while this tool works, we have to make the right choices, sounds like you're doing it some of the time.
Have a great day and stay in touch!
Hugs, Laureen

Good to hear from you. I don't play all the games on Facebook ... no time. I check in from time to time to see what my friends are doing. It's how I found out that a former coworker in Aberdeen, SD, was killed in a car crash on Monday. So sad ... 61 years old ... a good guy, good reporter.
If you want to find me on Facebook, it's easy ... my name is used by no one else. It's tough having a name that I have to spell out to everyone, but good to have one no one else uses.
My mom is 85 and still living alone in the house I grew up in; she drives us crazy because we worry about her being alone. She is your stereotypical hunched-back little old lady with the trembling hands and the bad hearing. Still drives, but only to places she's know where she's going. That scares us, too. She's the last one left of her family.
Hang in there on the job market ... it's tough. My brother is unemployed as of Monday ... he worked for AIG printing their life insurance policies. Their Milwaukee office closed. He's 57. They say the recession is over, but it's not over for Main Street yet.
