OT - Is it just me?? Finding joy in something silly......
i think it's wonderful--tho i am so sad to see that the plus sizes are looking fashionable now that i don't wear them! and i see lots of cute blouses etc in the juniors dept but wonder if i am too old!!!!!
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

NO Margo....You are NOT too old to wear those cute blouses in the Junior dept.
Girl, you can wear whatever you want.....
I do draw the line (for myself) on wearing anything that shows my belly button or those low riding jeans that show your backside "crack". hahaha. I'm just tickled that I can tuck my shirt/blouse in and now I HAVE TO wear a belt. Oh, the joy of weight loss.......AT ANY AGE!!! Go for it!!
Sandy
YES, I DO UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL! I am 57 years old and I am having so much fun shopping for my new "little" clothes! As a matter of fact, I am buying too much lol :) My girls say I am buying clothes that are "too young" for me. Why Not??? I missed out on wearing clothes for over thirty years, it is my turn, so to speak :) Anyhow, enjoy it. I am!
Always,
JOY (yes, this is actually my real name, I love it)

Hey ladies I don't post here very often but I do enjoy reading everyone's post and want to start participating on a forum where people understand where we are coming from.
Like you Moosie, I love buying clothes, I go to Goodwill every Wednesday is ($1) day for a certain color tag and I come home with the best things. I still feel like when I am looking at smaller sizes someone is going to come over and tell me that I need to go to the bigger sizes.
Never in my life did I think I would be wearing a size 6!! One of the guys I work with is 13 years younger than me and sorta has a crush on me and I told him I am an "old" woman and he said "You are not old and age is only a number and you look a heck of a lot better than most of these younger women". It really did make me feel good to have someone say that.

It's beyond joy, Ruth. Fitting into smaller sizes is downright EUPHORIC!
And this 61 year old has no qualms about cruising the juniors department, either. When it was age-appropriate (by some standards) to wear "Young" clothes, my 16 year old body would only fit into clothes that looked like a 61 year old would wear. Many of you will remember those days.
So forgive me a bit for turning the tables. It is so amazing to be able to buy something because I like it, not just because it fits!
I still have a good deal of weight to lose, but this surely helps me feel better about myself and gives me motivation to keep losing.
Keep sharing, Ruth. We do understand!
