Darlene, Thanks for the update. Glad to see you're getting out and about. I'm Scotch/Irish with a bit of German/Choctaw/Chickasaw/English thrown in. . . The celebration of the Celtic New Year sounds like great fun. Don't be a stranger.

Hey, girlfriend!  Ya know, it's like this.........we are what we are and it is what it is.....so with that said, I am glad you gave us an update of what's going on with you.

AND, BTW, even though the surname is Scillian, the bloodlines are 50% Irish, 25% Italian and 25% Cajun.......I get the dark places as well as the places in the sun and specifically on the beach near the water; I think it's the Scillian / Island heritage that draws me to the sea or the Scorpio zodiac sign.

Please do keep posting; I for one enjoy hearing about you and what is going on with you even if I only lurk and read at times.

Funny..I was thinking of you just this morning, Darlene..wondering what you decided to wear and  wow, that outfit looks lovely on you!!

I read daily but I'm so busy right now that I'm usually emotionally spent by the time I get on this site late at night...I just do my "musts" like email and drag my buns to bed.

I'm also dealing with Mother issues and its hard..I even feel guilty sometimes, wishing that I didn't have to go there or didn't have to do this or that but she turns 90 at the end of the month so I do what I can for her.

I also have a celtic background..Irish *s*..mother was a Doherty and I'm supposed to be a descendant of Grace O'Malley the Pirate Queen. Mother was a "black Irish" with jet black hair and hazel eyes but the fair skin so I have Mother's white skin but my Dad's blonde hair and blue eyes.

I'm so sorry that you are not feeling well...and added to that, extra stress regarding mother and work..stress has such a profound effect oonnus.  Please take care of you. *hugs*

I'm glad you vented your feelings.  It always helps to have good friends listen and care what's happening in your life.  I hope things get better for you soon.  Caring for the elderly is the most difficult task.  I commend you for taking your mom in and being so caring!  Things will get better for you and hopefully very soon.

darlene--thanks so much for the updates- i know it has been a very difficult time since mom moved in and all of her issues- the dance was good it seems even if he is only a "friend" and not your style of dancer-you went and your dress is very pretty!! jackets are a wonderful thing aren't they!!!!

i never knew til a few years ago that i had any irish in me- and now find connor, firth and casey !!! (county cork)--i haven't explored them much and am intrigued! i also have scots on my grandfather's side....probly on gramma's side too if i go back father than she did--

many of us respect your posts and your knowledge about teh vits and supplements etc--it's sometimes the way that you post--and sometimes that is only because the written word doesn't express the true feelings...i know that you know what i mean!

your bp issue frightens me--and i know you are staying on it...as well as teh D and b12----

You have a whole bunch of stress right now. That can't help the BP. Caring for your Mom, a job with great responsibilities, and health issues must weigh heavily on your mind.

Don't listen to words from the X, they always fight dirty and know how to hurt.

You looked beautiful for the ball. So what if there is no romantic attachment? Lovers are a dime a dozen but true friends are priceless.
