Saturday whats new revue
i'm back- did a bit of research online- am thinking michael's leg swelling may be a sort of gout? or something like this--he is worried about his kidneys and now i see his left knee cap is quite swollen-he admits he fell a few days ago but isn't saying how- his sis had gout and it went to rheumatoid arthritis...his older brother died of polycemia vera (did i spell it right?)...
the bird we picked up last nite is named Baby...she is a 16 year old blue and gold macaw (same as chi****uite slender gorgeous bird....she does talk as we heard it before we took her from her mom--pretty voice....she has lived with her original family since she was about 3 months old so she is in a very frightened state of adjustment here! it has been quite some time since she was with other birds and they were not large so here she has chico and ruby(two very large very confident birds); two parakeets and 4 ****atiels..she lived with a pug and a st bernard-the bernard is new to heir house and she and the dog DO NOT get along--mom had a very difficult decision cuz she felt she was not getting enough attention and etc--well- she was right-but i am not condemning her- anyone who has or has had animals of any kind knows that sometimes our babies get put aside...baby will adjust -she loves being on michael's shoulder and she camped out in our bedroom on a Tstand...she actually was on me on the bed today in an effort to get away from michael's hand-hands are a big deal so she will need work...but she is beautiful and she will have a great home here-tho we need to find her a different cage...her "mom" jan is a sweetheart and i am so glad to have met her- and will be directing her to this site tho she is frightened of surgery and knows ppl with bad results. it was very difficult for her saying aloha to her baby!!!!!
i've written out a few checks and need to get showered and dressed- run some errands tho not sure in what direction.
hoping to do some more packing and boxing up this weekend and maybe set up a pile of stuff in the garage so that weds we can pack the rental truck for trip #1..

I need to get out today and get an oil change in my car before I head to my daughters. I just wanted to check in with everyone here first.

Morning all,
My PCP never got any lab results.That bugged me. Made an appointment to see him next week anyway. Then the surgeon finally called back to let me know the platelet count was back to normal. Cancelled the PCP appointment. Not too happy with the 'system' at our hospital or the surgeon for taking his sweet time telling me that all is good.
We are going on a date tonight. Long overdue. We have gone out, spur of the moment, but I kind of like the ask in advance and plan type outing. That feels like a real date.

I think its sweet and a very good end to a very stressful week.
I'm sitting at home...my nose is stuffy..my asthma is bad..my sinus' hurt and I'm cold. I'm sure its not the flu..no fever, but I do know its the beginnings of sinus season and its probably the start of a sinus infection.
Lucky me..time for some hot tea.
I may not be at the meeting Monday..
I'm sure you will all thank me in the end.

Wow Jacki, you're really having more than your share of stress these days. Hugs and good thoughts are coming your way. I wish I could do more for you. Deep breathing usually will help me a bit. Give it a try.

If I don't give him the ice or the pills he wouldn't do it. He's supposed to do some deep breathing cuz the nurse said it would help keep the blood clots away. Now he says he doesn't remember them telling him that. I can believe it, he was a little doped up at the time.
Today my son is throwing a surprise graduation party for his wife. I hope it comes off without a hitch. I think it will. He's getting broasted chicken and potatoes and coleslaw for eats. I love love love broasted chicken and potatoes, but will probably limit myself to some breast meat and a little coleslaw.
My size 14 jeans are big in the waist. I may have to take them to a tailor and have the waist taken in. This is so fun these days!
