I just got home from a concert- it was jazz, blues- not my favorite.
Yesterday I went with my daughter to pick up a new puppy! I am in love! It's an 8 week old black lab. It's my first grand dog. Her name is Sookie.
Tomorrow I have work and then Bunco. On Saturday I have another play and in the evening a Retirement dinner/party. It will be a full weekend.
I started Thanksgiving units with the school kids today-we are actually very close to the holidays. Here we go......

On Thursday, I drove alone to Burlington to the Wharton Medical Clinic that I'm now attending ( I’m so brave…lol). That’s an hour each way over TWO Skyways which always make me nervous due to a fear of heights. I am directionally-challenged but I made it there and back just fine!
I had an echocardiogram which I don’t recall ever having before. It’s basically an ultrasound of my heart and the blood vessels to make sure that I’m not all clogged up with chloesterol. Apparently I will live 400 years, said the techie.
Back home, I had a wee nap and then started cleaning my kitchen. Mother sounded very UP …
I’m busy planning her surprise Tea Party, deciding to use bone china tea cups and saucers, much more elegant. I was thinking of looking in the second hand shops for pretty floral dessert plates too instead of paper plates. I want it all to look pretty for her.
Today (Friday) I am staying home...wow!! But that means kitchen cleaning..washing out the fridge, cleaning the oven ...I guess I can't procrastinate that job any longer..darn it! Then maybe some baking for Mom's party ( I will freeze that immediately so the guys don't do their usual "quality control") and then artwork and mandala books. Okay I will do ANYTHING to keep from cleaning out my office!
I'm really glad that Derek is busy working on his three dumptrucks for the winter season of snow plowing (but please don't tell him I said that...shhhh!) because today is Friday the thirteenth and, everytime the 13th falls on a Friday, everyone with motorcycles from miles around ride up to Port Dover, a small port town a few hours away...until literally hundreds of thousands of bikes descend on that place for the day. My sons have made that trip many times but I cannot relax til I heard their motorcycles roar and rumble down the driveway, home safely again.

I thought it was strange that the doctor advised to use heat instead of ice as a couple people suggested. But ... no way can I put anything cold on this body. I am so cold all the time already, an ice pack would be too much.
Today I MUST get in more water. My skin gets extra wrinkled when I don't.

It is a wonderful day. Because it is Friday. Less than 2 hours of work left. Maybe less than one, I am thinking of going home an hour early.
Yesterday was okay. The one thing that got me down is my boss wants me to evaluate the employees to see who we need to let go. I hate doing it, because most of the people working for us are on social security. But it has to be a business decision. I have targeted 3 people who are really not producing. But instead of termination, I will try to convince him to cutting their hours a little more. Down to 12 hours a week each. But it would make sense to let all three of them go. We will see what he says this afternoon.
Tonight is pizza night. Mary and I try to have pizza twice a month, at least. I know, not the best for us. But both of us have good blood work and are steady with our weight. We get two medium pizzas. One each. And it lasts until Sunday afternoon.
Not much else.

yesterday we drove to sandusky (30 miles) after work and bought paint for the trailer- 15 gallons- probly way too much but it is in 5 gallon tubs and i am afraid to "not have enough"--it was at a closeout store and the price was half of what even walmart's paint is...unfortunately by the time we got home it took away 3 hours of truckloading time!
michael had done a major move inside the house- took two very huge shelf things to the truck for me which means their contents were everywhere! he also disassembled the bed that i worked so hard to clear off !!! there still is very little IN the truck which is quite disturbing since i actually had hoped to be on the road by about this time this morning! soooooooooo
after i check my banking online i think i had best start moving stuff to the truck....hmm....i'm tired thinking about it and it makes the 4 plus hour drive that much longer...ouch!
my mom called last evening and announced that she found me a flannel nitegown !!! whooo hooooit will be washed and waiting for me tonite!!!!
so- i guess i should motivate out toward the truck and get stuff loaded...i swear that truck is so big!!! one thing slowing me is that when i get there i can't just move stuff right in--the floors aren't done--so we'll be storing stuff at the "little house" which is about 10-15 acres away...i know-double moving-oh well! free storage...
once that truck hits the road, i'll be without computer til i get home sunday...miss you already!

The doc (psych) put me on medicine and said there is a chance it will make me gain weight. I wonder if you just eat right if it will still do that. I told her I didn't want to take it. But she insisted. I am having trouble losing as it is and it is coming off slowly. The doc said my age and because I was a light weight wikk attribute to that.
Great.... I want it all off, and I want it now...lol
