I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

its rainy and cold in NJ again today, we are getting the effects of the tropical
storm on the coast.
i have been reading but not posting, my mind is all over the place. they brought
mom back to the healthcare unit at the assisted living but it is so sad, she cannot
talk since the stroke. her right side is basically useless and i know they will try
some therapy with her again, but nobody seems to have much hope at this point,
not even her doctor who is an optimistic man.
anyway, im going in to work for a few hours and then we have to go to the doctor to get hubbys biopsy and cat scan results, prior to seeing the surgeon on tuesday
of next week. he is very nervous and of course i am as well. i think he is losing weight
as well, not sure if its illness related or if its becasue he is eating so little.
hugs to all in need, you are all always in my thoughts

Sorry to read about your Mom and hope that you get good news on your husband's biopsy. . .

Morning all....
Actually overslept this morning, it was almost 6:30 when I woke up. Had dreams all nite, but never woke me up....lol. I sleep like a log most nites -- guess that's good.
Just made up my LF/SF orange chiffon pie for the sauerkraut supper we are having at my church this evening, so that's ready to go. I should be on the bike, but it ain't gonna happen now -- too much computer time. Talked to DS a few minutes ago on Facebook -- they are in Detroit getting ready to board a plane to Cancun and Riviera Maya for vacation.
Bad news, the cousin who plans to go with me to Germany next year was taken to the hospital with a possible stroke....good grief, what next? She is a lymphona cancer survivor and I was worried about that but never suspected any heart problems.....please pray it's not a stroke and she'll be just fine.
Gotta get my breakfast now and off to work.
Good thoughts and prayers for everyone here --

Done! Your Ticker:
Still have prayers going up from our house for all of you,
My teens go home today, Gramma went home last night so I am going to fix a big pot roast to have ready to take over when I take the kids after school. That should help with supper anyway.
Beautiful day here in Mi. chilly but it is Nov so I wont complain not too much anyway
Family is trying to make Thanksgiving plans and I am just plain not interested. I want to just go to Traverse City to our favorite hotel and just sit and stare at the Lake this year. No interaction, My family is upset but hubby understands. Not sure what we will do yet.
Hope all have great day and a better weekend~!!
Good morning, ya'll.
Well, it's Friday. Which doesn't really matter a lot when you are retired. Except we get to see more of the grandkids. Our son is headed 'out' again, in preparation for his deployment in Jan. He'll be in and out for the next 2 months. They have to practice, ya' know!
I am still trying to catch up with the DVR shows from while we were gone. I did get all the mail dealt with!
Today I am going to work on Christmas cards. I KNOW it is early, but with the scheduled chemo and radiation, I am trying to get all this done early. I did a little Christmas shopping while I was in Oregon, and left stuff there all wrapped.
More rain scheduled for today. YIPPEE!!! The septic guy will be here this afternoon to clean the septic and grease trap. I sure wish we would get on city sewer!
Everyone have a fantabulous day!
I would have never thought it! Ever! The other day I bought my first pair of size 6 pants. I have one other size 6, a jacket. It is funny how I can wear 6's, 8's and 10's depending on the maker. I thought it would be easier when I got to normal sizes to know what to buy. But, it doesn't appear that it is. I have to say that I am wearing the pants now and they feel like magic! lol
So, with today starting out with magic, there is no telling what will happen. Maybe the rain will stop. We fared well, no flooding or water problems. I hope there are not too many problems at the beach. Low tide yesterday and the waves were still up to the beach steps. I wonder where high tide put them. hmmmmmmmm
I might be buying a new dining room set this weekend. I will be taking hubby to see it tomorrow. He always says that if I like it, buy it but I won't until he sees it. I don't want to be the only one taking responsibility for it if something turns out badly. lol
Have a great day. May it be magic for you too.
