Finally Friday....What's New?
Hi Candy and my OFF family:
Lots of people up so early, but then I'm on Central time now in Wisconsin, so according to my watch it's nearly 11 a.m.
My back hurts again ... actually, my right hip area, but I think that's from my back. I think it's from sleeping on the AeroBed. I can't wait to get back to my own bed and recliner and get more comfortable.
No coffee yet; Gary drinks decaf, so if I want coffee, I have to drink that, or wait til he finishes his pot; he seems to drink very slowly. I may have a cup of decaf just to have coffee. At least he has some good stuff. I brought him a package of decaf Guatamalan coffee I had at home for him to use. I had it for awhile but it was unopened.
He's home from the hospital and was in pain and uncomfortable most of last night, but said he slept well last night in bed, although he got up a lot. But that's par for the course; he always gets up a lot. He was worried he wouldn't be able to sleep with the cervical collar on, but said it was OK. I have to check his bandage on his back and, if there's no drainage, I can remove that today.
Well, no big plans for today, unless he wants me to do something. Probably just hang around the house and help him out as much as I can.
Have a good day.

It is dark, cold and gloomy today...where is the sun??
My granddaughter Gracie turns THREE on the 18th. I can't hardly believe that is possible. I need to go get her card and package sent off today. Such a sweetie!!!

Hello, Louise... Thelma here!!
Home today waiting for late dr's appointment. Still got the bronchitis crud. Have been using the breathing machine w/albuterol but it makes me soooo jittery.
I bit the bullet today and went to married son's.... with a box of goodies... they aren't in 'trouble' but he's his father's son... boy, is he his father's son.... and DIL and I relate soooo much. I see her in a few years at 282... so... I figured, what the heck... they kinda brought me into it...one at a time... so I figured I'd just talk to both of them at once...no he said, she said....
Here was my box of goodies:
Two boxes of extremely good stationery for writing love letters.
A garbage bag so they could put their garbage in there instead of handing to each other.
Some nifty affirmations and promises to get healthier... and son needs to GAIN about 20 lbs. He's stressed...best friend as cancer and works with him... and of course.... there's always home...
And a great book... 1-2-3 Magic on dealing with your kids!!! I could have written that book.
Oh, and a $100 bill so when they finished the box of stationery, read the book together and followed the plan, sat down and talked once a week about 'things', and did a few more little suggestions, they are allowed to use the $100 for something fun together... and only then. We'll see.
And I think the kids will calm down because they are both communicating.
Again, we'll see.
Been on steroids for a week. I can't get enough to eat.. and I've worked from home since I've not felt well and it's VERY close to the refrigerator.
Tomorrow our family is getting together for our Family Thanksgiving. We are going to Al's Hamburgers for breakfast and then back to son's for snacks the rest of the day. Gobble, gobble.
I've got a dozen avocados for guacamole and then queso.
Need to do something around here, ... or as Rhett would say... "Frankly, My Dear, I don't give a damn!!"

The Chiropractor really helped with the pain. I was so nervous when he began to gently move my back. Then there was a series of pops and OMG, I could feel my left foot again.
The x-rays showed that the bones were kinked out of proper position. It also showed erosion which was no surprise. They could tell that I had hernia repair and could see the mesh.
The back exercises are easy; similar to climbing a ladder. No rowing machine until it all feels better,
My eyes are getting droopy from the meds so it must be time for a nap.
