Don't you just want to say to your son, "You're a big boy, find your own way to work"  Sounds like some enabling going on.  I should know, I'm also an enabler!

So sorry to hear about your dog.  I know what a tough decision that is, I had to make it when my Cairn Terrier had cancer.  He was our bestest dog yet, and we've had many since him.  Not one can stack up to Wally.

I wish I had the guts to try belly dancing.  I've certainly got the belly for it right now :)

Hi Everyone, I am embroidering a tablecloth. It is fairly large and it will probably take me till the end of time to fini**** Tonight at support group we will be going shopping at the grocery store for healthy holiday foods. It is surprising to find out that just because it is low cal it may not be the best choice. Nothing much else going on. Have a great day. Mona

Well, back to work today. Not looking forward to it but oh well, it's a job. Stayed up til 1 a.m. reading in bed ... "Brothers" about JFK and Bobby Kennedy ... just getting into the conspiracy theories about JFK's death, very interesting. Did the CIA do it? Cubans? The Mafia? The book suggests the CIA, and that the FBI pushed the Warren Commission to take the single shooter theory.

Made two loaves of apple bread yesterday afternoon, one to take for Thanksgiving, one to take to work. I tasted it, and it was yummy. The night crew gets gyped out of goodies at work; all the goodies come in during the day.

Also made my appointment for my EGD yesterday and now have a driver. I made sure to make it for a Monday, although by having it on a Monday, when I'm off, I have to have it at the hospital instead of at their office suite (which is nicer and more convenient) ... but I didn't want to take a day off, which would have been a sick day and inconvenience anyone at work (see how considerate I am?). Because with the EGD, I'm going to be knocked out for the procedure and even though I don't go to work til 7 p.m., I really shouldn't drive for the entire day. My friend Gayle, who takes care of my cats when I'm gone and lives across the road, is going to drive me. So that's taken care of. I tried to schedule this when I was at Gary's, but everytime I called, I got some woman's private number ... don't know why, I called the number on the letter, but I kept getting a wrong number. So then I just decided to wait until I got home.

Judy, you deserve the vacation time and they have no right to withhold from you. Go talk to HR and demand that they pay you for it. You are supposed to get a certain number of weeks, so stick to your guns.

I just got back from the Doctor. I have had this bladder infection since the 5th. I was trying to get rid of it myself, No luck. I was lucky it didnt go into my kidney.
Still no start date for the job. I going to call her again today.
Well going to take a nap.carla

Carla...let us know what the doctor has to say. Hope the infection is gone soon...that is a nasty thing to have to put up with.

Hi Judy and all my OFF friends,
It's a beautiful day here is CT.  I sent my secret pal her gift at lunch hour.  She should get it on Thurs.
Hubby and I bought eight hand puppets on Sunday.  I like to sew so I've decided to make the grandkids a doorway puppet theater.  It will have pockets in the back to hold the puppets.  It hangs in a doorway from a tension rod and just rolls up to be put away when they are done.  I'm going shopping in my linen closet to see if I have a sheet I can use.  I know I have lots of scrap material I can use for the curtains and front of the theater decorations.  They have several patterns on line so I can pick and choose what I like from each one. I'm hoping the grandkids will love it.
Tomorrow night we pick up and deliver the 54 frozen pies we sold to help out the scouts.  Hubby cleaned out the chest freezer for this. WooHoo. It's needed cleaning out for a long time.
Marti, I feel for you with those panic attacks.   You must worry about really hurting yourself with a fall.
Judy,  I hope you get your time off as paid vacation.
Laureen, Glad Dillinger is doing well at home.
Margaret, I had an awful time walking with my arthritis before WLS.  Now, I can run around with the grandkids and no pain.  It will get better.
Margo, I have moved several times and each time I swore I was nailing the furniture to the floor.  Actually though, it's packing all the little stuff that is the pain . . . and unpacking it.  I still have boxes in the basement from a move in 1997.
Warm wishes to all of you that you will have no more pain and all your problems are solved.  We can hope can't we.

I've been to work this morning (had to change my schedule around for a funeral tomorrow for a dear friend), the senior luncheon at church this noon, and out to Kroger for yogurt and some other items.  Now I'm killing time until I can go to the funeral home for the viewing at 4 p.m.

It is so cold and damp here today.....think I will have to break down and get out the winter coat.

Not much else to report - started the back stitching on the baby bib and that's going to take a while, as there is lots and lots of it.

Work at the bank has really slowed down and today we got a notice that they are closing one of their branches in Coldwater, Michigan in March of 2010.....it's scarey.
