I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Yep Matthew out did himself. Plus with the furniture coming the day before and all the landscaping getting done yesterday/today it's been a really great couple of days.
Thanks for the B'day wishes.
Good Morning Nancy and all,
I am up early as always and will have a cleaning marathon this weekend (after a scrapbook day with my sister) as I am having Thanksgiving here. After Tom's mom visited this summer (she usually comes out from NJ every 2 years or so) she had such a good time she is coming for Thanksgiving. Maybe also because it's Tom's 50th birthday. Otherwise, my cleaning marathon would just be a cleaning stroll....She will arrive Tuesday and stay till Sat.
Not much new here. Tom is still out of a regular job has 4 PT jobs on Gonzaga campus, all done on his computer. Don't pay much but may open some doors. One that he got recently is that he is now a certified editor and is getting paid to edit dissertations and such...All I know that it is lucky it was him that was laid off as he is MUCH more productive and motivated than I would of been had it been me.
I am still working at getting the weight back down to my comfort zone and am getting closer. It is taking a while as I am not perfect and I think being out 2 years, things go slower than before.
Nancy, you probably know this but sometimes when elderly move, their cognition declines a bit more. This is often due to being in new surroundings or just having such a change. The good side is often they bounce back and sometimes improve even a bit more than before when they get settled and are somewhere where some of the worries can be cut down in that they have more assistance at hand. You are such a good daughter. I have lots of residents who have no one and are all alone in the world or have family that for one reason or another are not involved. Not blaming them just see folks that are alone. I am sure there are reasons sometimes that are valid but still sad to see. So, again, what a loving daughter you are. Take care.
Well, I 've rambled enough...have a great Saturday.
Jackie, I am so sorry you are going through all that you are....Healing thoughts are coming your way.
