THOUGHT I WOULD CHECK IN....
let you all know the trip back to michigan was a good trip...got my new tv picked up...they replaced my broken one with this new 32 inch flat screen lcd hd tv not sure what else it has on it...lol been to busy with mom and all...all i know is it works nice and the picture is great!!! anyhow got the tv first then went to moms...got rested up from the drive there and then we headed back to ohio....got back here saturday night about 8 pm...mom is happy to be here and glad she came!!! took her to a few stores here that she doesn't have back in michigan. she is plum tuckered out tonight...she is eating good for a change...said she hasn't eaten like this in ages!!!! rick made her his famous stuffed pork chops yesterday. she loved them!!!! tonight i made her my nachos. she loves my nachos and misses them alot she said. tomorrow we will have the steak and cheese subs for supper. rick makes super subs so i am sure she will love them also.
getting ready for turkey day....going to have a few people over for dinner so it should be fun. yes ricks mom and brother are SUPPOSED to come over for dinner....we'll see....hahaha i invited a co worker over also. so it should be a fun day. got the turkey thawing in refrigerator,got the other things waiting to be fixed and cooked. looks like a feast in the making for sure.
ran into one of the managers from work today while at super k...well i have a good excuse ready if anyone asks why i was here instead of michigan...lol
got alot of Christmas shopping done with mom also. she is happy that she is with me and doing something besides sitting around all the time...she IS tired out tonight and i promised her we would take it easy tomorrow...unless she wants to go someplace....she said right now no...her feet hurt her and also her back is acting up some.
OHIO STATE beat MICHIGAN in football saturday...WOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also OHIO STATE is going to the rose bowl!!!!!!!!!!! :-) called my brother and he had many excuses on MICHIGAN...LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO he always has some excuse when they do bad...LOL also see that DETROIT LIONS beat the CLEVELAND BROWNS.....big deal...both are losing teams...but it was a close game i saw.
reading the posts i see many are having problems and many doing well...good to see lightswitch posting and letting us know how she is doing...YES i was worried about her!!!! anyhow need to get going so know i AM thinking of all of you and i hope you all have a great holiday!!!!!!!!!! will be back when i can....not sure if mom will go back home friday or saturday. have to see what the weather brings.

Happy to hear that everything is going nicely and you can enjoy your time away from work, now don't go getting too tired or you will be a grumpy elf when you get back there in time for all the Xmas shoppers (lol)!

I'm so glad that your mother is there and is now going to know where you live and how things are instead of just imagining them. Sometimes I miss my mother very much, and wonder how she would feel about what has happened in my life since she passed away. She never got to know her great grandchildren, and they are such little munchkins.......I know she would love them. Amazing what she and my dad started!!!
