HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!! :-)

we have the turkey cooking and waiting for the rest to start...OMG it smells SOOOOOO good in here!!!! talk about drooling...LOL

opened the blinds in the living room this morning and we saw a beautiful rainbow!!!!!!!!!! sure didn't stay long...maybe we missed it and got a fast look when i opened the blinds....glad we saw it though!!!

mom is doing great here...we played cards last night and man her feet were so swollen she coudn't walk well at all!! i almost took her to er i was so afraid for her!!! she is ok today thank GOD!!! going to take her home tomorrow and stay friday and saturday nights and then come home sunday early. need to get my check and also the tickets for the store Christmas party sunday night. busy weekend for sure!!! going to miss having mom here thats for sure!!! we had so much fun together just like old times!!!! she loves ricks cooking and says she was fed well!!! he said to bad he didn't make her his spaghetti and sauce...OMG!!! his is SOOOO good!!! glad i can eat pasta now!!! LOL

well best get back to mom and watch rest of parade...just wanted to check in and wish you all a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!! ;-)

Thank you so much, Jacki, and very best wishes right back atcha and also to everyone on this board!

I am really happy that we had such a nice dinner (son made the turkey, what a great job he did) and fellowship with each other.  My mother-in-law came for dinner and it's always good to see her.  She went home around 4 because she doesn't like to drive in the dark.

I'm catching up a little bit before going back out to hang out with the family.

Gary and I stayed home, just the two of us today.  I made a capon, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes and green bean casserole.  Didn't eat much because I think I started out eating too fast, so I quit quickly.  Will have something else in an hour or so.  All of the leftovers are in the fridge.
Went to Gander Mountain and Walmart this afternoon to scope everything out.  It's going to be a crazy day tomorrow.  I don't know if I'll go shopping or put up the Christmas tree.  I'm leaning toward putting up the tree.
