Good Morning!

It is still dark out here, dear Dillinger needed to go potty, so I stopped by to see you all and read Jean's post and than thought I'd start the thread!

Went to see Blind Side yesterday with a friend of mine, what a wonderful movie that was, very uplifting, made me a Michael Oher fan!  Took Dillinger to the vet for a bandage change, came home watched some television and then went to sleep. . .

Tony is coming down in a few hours and so I'll be hanging with my guys, I'll drag out the Xmas decorations and start that process and that's about all I have in mind at the moment.  Think I'm all baked and cooked out, but I will probably have to do some cooking this weekend in preparation of the coming week too. . .

So did you all do the Black Friday madness?  Whatever and wherever you are, hope it's a good day and if you are facing serious challenges, as many have been lately, I wish you the peace and strength to get through it.

Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Think I'm going back to my nice warm bed. .
.

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Good Morning Laureen,
I saw Blind Side yesterday too. I loved the movie.
Some Dingleberry called my cell phone with a restrictive number at 4am. I get so mad when it goes off at that hour in the morning. I didnt answer the call. I never answer 800 numbers or restricted numbers.
I am having a friend come and stay the night tonight from the Illinois board. So Ill be busy.
I still dont know when I am starting my job. I got a call Friday that I cant start till the drug test comes back. So hopefully Monday it will come back and I can start on Tuesday. This waiting is killing me.
Well I am going back to bed to get my nuch needed beauty sleep!!!!!

Today my two grandson and hubby will get out the christmas tree and put it together. Im going to stay outside in the sun while they try to find the plugs that go together to light the thing. it is one of the prelit ones. they are maddening...
Yesterday was a beautiful day    65 sunny and no wind so we had our one day late Thanksgiving dinner outside on the patio. was a wonderful idea. every one had a great time with all the formal fancy Thanksgiving dinner served buffett style then walking outside to eat . today is suppose to be another day warmer than yesterday., then the bottom is suppose to fall out and be cold , rainy and possibility of some snow next week ,
going to rest and rest and rest today, so that tomorrow when so that i will be rested and ready to meet George and Mary tomorrow. I will take some pictures of us together. i still havent decided whether to take them to Branson Landing rest that sits out over the lake and is decorated with old old tackle and such.  or to this place that the waiter and waitresses all are striving to be singers and you can request your waiter to sing a song. it is really cool and cute.  i have been there before and know the food is good the other one i havent one i havent been to but have heard it is really good.
well need to go just took some pain meds and i need to get back to bed and get some ice on my knee it is swollen because i was up on it too much yesterday. would love to be able to wear jeans tomorrow but know i wont be able to because of the swelling.
have a great week end everyone. JAN

good morning laureen, thanks for starting the thread!

glad you enjoyed the movie, i could use a movie break.

good that dillinger is plugging along, i know how much your furry friend means
to you.

im thinking of having my son help me with some decorating this week.  he is coming
to stay for a couple of days, while Bob has his surgery.  its nothing complicated, but
i am hopeless about connecting stuff and setting timers.

wishing everyone a calm weekend, i am planning nothing much, cept for visiting
Mom and taking care of Bob.  i already cleaned up all the stuff from turkey day,
and last night made a big pot of soup.  have to freeze the soup today and im short
of space in the freezer.  well, ill find a way.

hugs to all, be safe and well, jacki

Good morning Laureen & all. We had a nice Thanksgiving. Just DH & I.
Later 4 of the grands came over to raid the leftovers &  spend the night.
DH & I did the black Friday thing & were home before the kids woke up. It's a tradition for the grands to decorate the tree so they did.
My oldest made lunch & second oldest made sugar cookies.
Sometimes & get so sad that they are growing up so fast' then I love that they can do so much now. It seems that every age is my favorate!
Today I hope to relax. DH is hunting again. I hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

Morning Off
Had a good thanksgiving It was hard but we know there will never be another one so hard and it was good to be with both families and the kids enjoyed it so much.   We did get home  in time for them to sneak in to say good night to gramma and she was happy to see how happy they were if that makes sense.
We did not do the black Friday thing!   We stayed home.  The teens went out with an aunt who spend an ungodly amount on them.    (I strongly suspect guilt as she could be raising these great kids and wont!)   I agreed to them going because the kids need what she bought them  we can only so so much.    I don't know what is gong to happen permanently our house isn't big enough to keep them.   And I want them kept together!   We are going to do the decorating today.  The teens have the little ones all reved up!   should be a fun day!
Have to go make  4 loaves of french toast to fill up these eating machines.
Prayers going up for all of you  hope you all have a great weekend.

Good morning OFF friends,

Our daughter is still here from NY and we'll probably do some shopping and errands today.  We stayed in last night and watched a movie.  I was tired, so went to bed quite early since I had to be up and work early this morning.  We're really enjoying her visit.  She'll leave tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a joyful day!

Debbie
