What's new Friday?

Who knows what is too soon? I got Scooter very soon after Kittle's death ... much sooner than I expected because he was offered to me by the apartment complex owner. I really feel somehow he was sent to be in my care. Scooter was living in the apartment complex office ... he'd be there all alone on weekends. The office staff told me he was very standoffish, didn't play much ... well, that really changed once he settled into my home. And Cinnamon was in a deep depression after Kittle's death.  Scooter brought Cinnamon out of that eventually (although first he terrorized him ... but they got used to each other and came to love each other).

If this dog needs a home now, Dillinger may have sent him to you. That's always how I felt about Scooter, that Kittle sent him to me, to fill that spot in my heart.

Laureen,  so glad to hear you may have found a new friend.  You know what's right for you.  I believe what you say about honoring Dillinger is definately the right attitude.  Pass on the love, don't dwell on the sadness.
Good luck, and keep us informed.

Laureen - I think its great you are thinking of the new dog!  That will add to your life.  You aren't replacing Dillinger, just honoring his memory!

I have not posted for quite some time so I missed the post of dillinger's passing.  I know he was a big part of your life and there must be an empty spot there now.  If you feel it is time to fill that spot then go for it.  Dillinger's contribution to your life and yours to his can't be lessened by giving to yet another fur baby that need love and care.  I wish you all the best.

Laureen...you are such a kind and compassionate person. I hope you get the dog.....you both will be so happy!!

You can't relace Dillinger.....you can only know he will be happy that you are helping another dog just like you did for him.

Gary has turned into a QVC addict.  Ordered a five piece tool set (kitchen tools) lastnight that hang on the side of the pan without falling in.  They are sort of neat, but in my opinion not worth the 31 dollars.
He was on a rampage this morning, cleaning drawers and the desk and paperwork.  I hope he decides to look for a part time job...
Lots of snow out there, but it sure is pretty.
Hope everyone is having a good Friday.

I'm hoping the snow makes it pretty here tomorrow!  I love the snow!  Maybe I should move to Michigan ;)
