Morning off
Cold here today! I like snow but would like it much better if it would come in 70 degree temps!!
Off to the bone cracker in a few min. Should be fun with 3 toddlers! Preschool is canceled this week because of furnace trouble. That must be contagious! our blower motor on the furnace went out during the night. Brrrrrrrrr, Have the oven going and a fire in the fireplace. Kids love the fire place and we made muffins for breakfast!!

Hi Margo and my OFF family:
I was busy this morning spending my paycheck ... all gone on bills and Christmas gifts. I had to wait until the last minute to do it and now I don't know how I'm going to get up and back to Chicago because I don't have gas money. Yeah, I didn't plan well. Well, I had a plan but it didn't work (don't ask). I have $8 in my wallet ... have to check this one credit card I have from my consumer survey gig (I scan my purchases and answer surveys and they give me a little money now and then ... I should get $10 soon). Mom usually gives me some gas money to get back but otherwise, I don't know what I'll do. So it's been a crappy day.
I didn't get as much as I usually do in the book sale, so I had to get other things at the store. Got two Star Wars toys for Sam and a Star Wars t-shirt at Meijer (had a coupon for 10 percent off all the general merchandise and apparel, so I saved a little on that stuff). Got Ben a Lego set to go with the four books I got him in the book sale. I got a few books for mom in the book sale, but not as many as in past years. Wanted to get her something else, but I'm out of cash. I know she'll understand, but I feel bad. Also went to Best Buy, got my niece Andrea a $50 iTunes gift card (she was my grab bag person and that's all she put down), plus a $25 gift card for my brother Gary ... that gave me a $10 Best Buy gift card for myself ... pretty cool. I'll wait until after Christmas to see what I didn't get. Anyway, after buying that and the groceries and cat food and paying my phone and Internet, I have nothing left. Like I said, don't know what I'm going to do for gas to get to Chicago. Maybe I should pass the hat at work.
Then I came home to have lunch, dropped my frozen dinner (cooked one) off the arm of my recliner and onto the floor (chicken parmiagiana, so a lot of tomato sauce) ... a lot of it ended up on newspapers so it didn't stain much, but I still wound up with some tomato stains on the rug. What a mess! It's just been a crappy day.
Margo, sounds like you've been very busy with packing and pitching. I've been there so many times so I know what you're going through. When I was in South Dakota, I lined the area on the corner twice ... the garbage was picked up on Friday mornings, it was filled and the garbage guys took it away Friday morning, I filled up again by Friday afternoon and they came by again and took more away. I was flabbergasted that they did that. Then I had more out there by Saturday morning before I left Saturday evening. I had so much garbage to get rid of ... I had been in that house for six years, the longest I had been anywhere (before here).
