Hi it's Wednesday, what's new?
Hi Eileen and all my OFF friends,
January is moving slow for me. We don't do much at night after work. Just sit by the fire and watch TV. We close off our back bedrooms and lower the heat. So I don't even want to go in the back bedroom that we have made our home office. I have some projects that I could do in there but it is too cold. Of course, it would help if I put some curtains on the windows. But I'm trying to cut down on my spending.
Next week we go new car hunting. We are going to look at a Chevy Equinox. It's supposed to get good mileage and offer the kind of room Hubby needs (he's a big guy). Any recommendations/cautions? All I care about is the mileage, reliability and it's the color blue.
I go to our boy scout meeting tonight and give out tickets to sell to our Valentine Dance fundraiser. I've been chairing it for 10 years now (out of 18 years we've been having it) so I've got a routine that keeps it fairly simple for me. The band we have does music of the 50's, 60's and 70's and they have not gone up on their price in 18 years either. They consider it their contribution to sending boys to camp and adventure trips. I hope we make oodles of money for them. Tomorrow I'm going to Target to get the door prize - a 19" flat screen HDTV.
No snow expected but it's so cold that nothing is melting. I'm grateful for the sunshine though.
My heart goes out to all of you and your families suffering health problems. It makes all my problems seem insignificant. Here's to a healthy 2010.
Bev
