Football...football...football today for me!!!!!!!! Meeting up with friends....will be fun.
I have a wake to go to tonight. A friend of mine lost her daughter in a head on collision on Tuesday night. She was just 28 years old.....so tragic...the other car crossed the center line.
Mary...dress warm if you go out for groceries....you don't need a replapse.

We have two threads going today. So I'll start and post on here and then go on the other one.
Got off the phone with my mom and told her about my layoff. She didn't give me a lot of support. Then I got on her about not letting my brother Gary move in with her, and she couldn't get off the phone soon enough. Thanks, mom, for being so supportive. What I really needed was a hug from my mom and all I got was "I'll pray for you."
Work was pretty tough last night. I felt like a ghost ... either people averted their eyes and didn't say anything or they came up to me and patted me on the back, said they were sorry to see me go. The nicest thing was Troy, the Muskegon sports guy, telling me how much help I had been to them, how they couldn't have made the transition over here without me. That was really nice.
Well, I'm on the phone with Mary Kay. I needed to vent about my mom. Mary Kay has been my sounding board ... she's been through similar things with her mom. So I'm going to sign off and check on the other thread.
I have football and laundry on the agenda, and taking down the Christmas decorations.

Well the kids left today to go back to college. My son is currently stuck in the Detroit airport because his flight is delayed at least 4 hours. Poor kid got up at 4:00 to catch a flight out of Orlando and once he finally gets to his destination (about 5 pm or later) he still has a 3-1/2 hour drive back to school.
Other than that I'm just getting the house back in shape and doing laundry. Not a very exciting day.

Hi I just got home from grocery shopping. We hit Walmart, BJ's, Sams Club and Publix. Didnt buy much but needed stuff for lunches for work.....
I am driving to Tampa to pick up Anna and we are going to meet the Florida OH group for dinner in Sanford Florida...It is about 138 miles for me but Im going none the less.
Ill leave about 3p. and wont be home till 11pm or so. Makes for a long day with working.....

I am flying up to Chicago on the 23rd to see my neice. My family is having a going away party for her. She is leaving for Tanzania for a year. We will see if she lasts that long....
I am motivated to join a gym!!!!! My daughter joined one yesterday to that triggered me to look for one. I need to get this body moving and not get stiff.....
It is still cold here about 45 high today. It snowed yesterday!!!!!

What's with all the small print --- geez it's hard to read!!
Just jumping in to say hi and hope everyone is staying warm. Gas here in southwest Michigan is $2.79.......just a month ago it was 2.40 ish. It's a dang racket if you ask me.....the oil companies just keep raking in the big bucks and we poor folks get poorer.
Made some protein ice cream a bit earlier and took two bites of it and now I am having tummy issues.....yuck.
Tomorrow is PCP appt for pre-op and Tues. morning I have a meeting at the hospital with the surgical nurse. The surgery is Jan. 20th at 8:00 a.m. I am nervous, but it will be okay and hopefully fix my foot.
We are to get into the high 30's low 40's mid week -- maybe all the snow will melt -- I hope!
