Pat, those roll-a-way carts are so amazing!  One of our clients shattered her foot and was in a cast for 8 weeks, then a brace for another 4, not being able to bear any weight on it at all. That cart allowed her to get all over the place.
If I had one of those when I ruptured my Achilles I think it would have had a much better outcome. Good luck to you

Pat,
Big hugs. Your 'go cart' sounds like a good way to remain mobile.

Pat,

So happy that you are feeling better about having your surgery and that there is a plan in place for afterwards!

I buy the Jimmy Dean Delight breakfast sandwich, throw half the muffin away and it is a yummy breakfast, just bought a box of 12 at Wegman's last night for $11.98, which is great, like a $1 per sandwich.  . .

Yay, a virtual heatwave is upon us, I think we are getting up just over 40 today as well!

Have a great day!  Laureen

Pat

Is there anywhere you could direct me for info on the "roll-away" cart?  I've been putting off foot surgery for over 2 years because I refuse to be laid up for 12 weeks.  I know I couldn't go to work with it, but it sure might make life easier when I finally break down and have the surgery.

Thanks.

Candy: My foot doctor actually loans them out from his office....your doctor will know where to get one for you, I'm sure.

Pat, I've seen a couple of people with those carts, and they get around pretty good. As for the sedation, sounds like they're going to "twilight" you. Much easier than general.

Maybe I can get down there to see you while you recuperate, since I'll be unemployed in February.

Take care of yourself.
