Good Morning Carla, OFFr's!

I am sitting hear with Foxy Roxie at my side, enjoying a late morning, as I am scheduled to report to Jury Duty at 11 a.m., which is great since with that start time (weird right?), I was able to get up late, leisurely have breakfast and I won't be going into work today, so it's a bonus day and I don't mind Jury Duty.

Last night I was all excited as I found out the gym I belong to has a Latin Areorobics class (Zumba), well it starts at 8 p.m., so I went home, had dinner, fed Roxie, changed into my gym clothes and got there 15 minutes early, stretched and was chatting with a woman who had taken the class one morning who said she had joined the gym particularly because they offer that class and that she was disappointed with the person teaching the class she had attended, but heard this was a different instructor, well as luck would have it, it turned out that the instructor that was supposed to be there wasn't and we had the one she had the other day and so I got what she was talking about, I stayed in the class for 15 minutes trying to do the class, but she did not give any instructions on what we were doing, switching gears quickly, which I guess is fine if you've ever taken the class before, but what about the newcomers?  Anyway, I left and did 35 minutes on the treadmill, doing the mixed program, which has you climbing hills, running and giving a good workout.  What I want to know though, is where is all the energy we are supposed to get from working out, I was exhausted after the gym, stopped at Wegmans to pick up some yogurt and a few other items and then came home and went to bed around 11.

Well we shall see what I do today, but depending on what happens at Jury Duty, I have a list of things I can do that I would not be doing if I were at work. . .

Hope you all have a wonderful day!  Wishing you peace and strength to face any of life challenges!

Hugs, Laureen

LOL, 69am?  How was that coffee?  I love cawfee in the morning and I need it so much!

Good morning everyone!  Already 2 dozen OFFers have been here before me and I wish you all a terrific Thursday and to everyone who follows!

On the agenda today:

email a gentleman at a solar panel company for my brother, who wants to start up hydroponic farming and wants to apply for a grant through the Dept. of Agriculture.  Pete's got the info but not the time to do the contacting so I'm playing his assistant.  :)  I am really enthusiastic about this venture!
blog
go to the food pantry
cut up chicken for dinner tonight
go to the doctor
make dinner
pick up daughter from the bowling alley (hmmm...does she bowl today?  better check the schedule!)

In my spare moments:  read my book!  I just finished Schindler's List and have begun a new one by Dennis Lehane.

So ... nothing terribly fascinating, just stuff to keep me busy!

My client has a new goal plan which is supposed to include doing a few in home projects. She didn't quite understand and had a tantrum (her first directed at me).

We spent 45 minutes as I attempted to explain that this is supposed to be fun. Oh boy, she was furious and said - my argumentative friend, I love you but YOU ARE FIRED.

Okay, fine, caaled her bluff and  I walked towards the door. She immediately changed her mind and decided this plan was good after all. I was showered with apologies and kisses for the rest of the day. It was still exhausting.

Came home, started laundry and sat down to eat. Hmmm - the dryer sounded odd. Avoided the usual cat obstacle course and went to the laundry room. The dryer drum wasn't moving.

Tom came home, took it apart and CLUNK - a big piece of something came apart. It is too old to invest in repairs so we shopped for a new one. Jeepers. I don't want a million settings, just dry the clothes.

Still looking until I find one I like.

Kisses
Annette

What kind of job do you do that your client would fire you for your idea??

I work with developmentally disabled adults. The new plan was decided at her semi-annual meeting, per her needs. She can't really fire me just because she decided to change her mind. It all goes with the territory.

Good Mornin' Carla....we think we are having warm weather here today.....Wisconsin is sort of like being in the Army...They "take all your rights and give them ack to you in the form of priviledges.[sp?].....Wisconsin shows you what really bad weather is by giving you 17 inches of snow in the form of a blizzard and then having the sun come out the next day and drop the temperatures to 25 below zero....so now 32 degrees feels like spring!!!

I went for a sleep study again.....I still don't have sleep apnea, but it bothers them I still don't go into REM sleep aned I don't have dreams.....so I may have to have the test again. They are trying to figure out my oxygen issues in my panic disorder. She says I am not a typical panic disorder patient because I pass out when I have them.

I have seen the new George Clooney movie Up in the Air...so very good and of course he is not hard to watch...doesn't he have the cutest grin. The Blind Side was also a really good movie. My movie group is going to see Invictus next week...and then out to dinner. But I think it will be more fun tonight when we go to see Leap Year which takes place in Ireland with my girlfriend that is from Ireland and some other girlfriends and we go out for a glass on wine afterwards.

I must get back to work. I have a semi-private office with my girlfriend from Ireland and her brother [sheis one of 12 kids] called her from France on Skype and it is hard for her to have a private conversation with me in there also, so I left and came over to the computer room....and checked in with all of you.

Have a great day.
Love, Marti
ps. Happy Birthday Evelyn

Good morning all.  I'm late posting here - busy morning.  I got to work and realized I just have this morning to prepare for the meeting this afternoon.  That meeting (with a division manager) is to show her what I've put together in a powerpoint for next weeks Strategic Planning meeting.  Yikes!  Lot's left to do, so I won't stay here long.

Michael and I had a lovely evening.  We made soup, ate supper and just hung out together.  We did some rearranging and sorting things out (we are trying to downsize stuff).  It's an ongoing project!

Looking forward to a 3-day weekend with MLK day on Monday.

I know it's not morning here, but thought I'd tag along.  I just got out of bed at 11:30, ate my "breakfast" and am enjoying a cuppa.  I've been having back spasms for 2 weeks and took a muscle relaxant before bed at 1AM, and crashed.  Woke up for a second at 8:45 when the phone rang (Good Morning, Thelma...), let the machine get it 'cause I was still snowed, then back to la-la land till about 11 o'clock.

This, my friends, is why I don't take any more meds than I absolutely have to.

I was going to tan for a few minutes this morning to get a base tan for the trip...nope!  Hoping to do a little shopping in the nearby stores...nope!

Today after I finish my second cup of coffee I'll shower and go to work.

I've got to get back on a schedule.

The contractor is done till warmer weather (we have to use the garage, and 15 degrees is too cold.  Go figure!) and I have lots of stuff to put away.  Gonna order some Roman shades from Penney's for the laundry room, as they're on 50% off sale.

Tomorrow I'll head for the mall.  Time for new luggage.  I hear it's on sale.

My life is SO exciting!

Everyone have a good day.

Candy
