Exercise? What's are you doing to keep it going?
In May they are going to take the pin and such out of my hip...it hurts and they think it is loosening up and that is why I have the pain. They don't like to remove it before one year or so....guess I will have to deal with it!!

I have finally started going to the local Holiday Inn swimming pool. In the water, I go to the back(deep end) of the pool during the aerobics classes and do my own verson to the music...mainly "jogging" and using my arms against the resistance of the water. This leg movement hopefully will pump more blood into my leg veins and activate them to get my circulation geing better. The same with my arms(also lymphodema but not as bad).
The lymphodema in both legs has been very painful, especially lately and the last month has been particularly difficult for walking even short distances..and even lying in bed..seems that I havent been able to find any relief. Even using my EFT, though it reduces the pain some, still doesn't eliminate it completely and it's affecting my sleep.
On the positive side, I've already noticed some swelling reduction in my feet & ankles. But my knees still ache..guess I really wrenched them bad trying to move Mother.
Anyways, I go Mon, Wed & Fri's. Except today (Monday) because I have a STRESS TEST on Tuesday and I'm not allowed exercise the 24 hours before. Soo, what I did was then to do my "swimming" routine on SUNDAY instead. Next time, Wed this week and I'm back on schedule.
I'm enjoying it..two solid hours jogging in the water and another twenty minutes in the hot tub. Actually, it doesnt FEEL like exercising and that's what I need...almost effortless, except, well, okay, I got a bit nervous when the pool suddenly filled with a bunch of "jocks" & pretty girls in bikinis but I stayed my fuull 2 hours and they were all gonne by the time I was ready to get out. *s*
Then, as I was getting dressed to leave, a very large lady came in using a walker..she looked down at the floor and wouldnt look at me...I said "hi! the water is lovely today"..she didnt answer. I felt such compassionate for her..I knew exactly how she felt. She much bigger than me (that alone amazes me..I still feel Im the bioggest in the crowd wherever I am) but she got into the hot tub. I hope that she finds relief and will someday feel more confident to smile.
