It's Wednesday, what's new?

Good morning everyone. I am here for just a few minutes but never away from anyone in my heart.

My computer is ready to die I guess. I keep getting a screen that the hard drive is going to fail. I don't have the money to get another computer so I am now at the library. So you will see me here and there....

Nothing new is going on but the life I am living seems like it going to fail soon too....maybe that is why my computer is the same way.

I go to the doctor this afternoon about the dizzy spells. I have upped my fluids like mad...about 2 times more than usual...and I am still the same way. I have to take 2 pills in the morning, afternoon and night. I guess I am what used to be called a dizzy dame.

Kayden is growing like a little weed. I saw him this morning and told DS that he is longer. Sure enough when I got to put his jeans on they were shorter on him. He is just a little doll and he has my heart 100%.

I better go. I have to get moving from the computer. I will chat when I can get back here. I send love and hugs to all along with prayers and happy thoughts going for everyone. Have a great day and don't forget to smile...it helps everyone!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi All

Just me, bringing up the rear again...

I worked last night, got up at 9 am and called Janet.  We chatted a while.  Both of us are getting excited about our cruise.  Only 18 more days!  I just hope it's warm!  We both need the break.  I pinch pennies all year to have my vacations, but it's worth it.

I cooked up some salmon this morning, made some salmon patties for dinner, and will eat the reat of it in a tossed salad for lunch.  I've been rowing with the others on Susan's barge, some days more effectively than others.  Yesterday was NOT a good day.  Today will be much better.

I went tanning for a few minutes, then picked up a few groceries because the cupboard is pretty bare.  I'm not a big fan of tanning beds, but I'm also not a fan of sunburn or having to cover my entire body every time I go outside on the cruise.   So I'm having a few sessions till I go, just to get a bit of a base tan.  In the sumer the sun does it for me, and in the winter who cares?  I'm bundled up like Ralphie on "The Christmas Story"....

I called the retirement system this morning.  Will be going after my birthday in April to get an estimate and see when I'm able to take the plunge.  I'm nervous, but I think I'm ready.  The numbers will tell...

Everyone have a good day.

Candy

I     I have been out of touch.  Dealing with my mother has me going back and forth to Louisiana.  I missed the news about your cruise.  Are you leaving out of Galveston?  Let me know ya'lls plans.  Maybe I can catch you before you sail.  Hope not flu get in your way this time!!!!

I just saw Mary and she looks good. The doctor checked her levels after removing the parathyroid and was pleased with the results.

Maybe now she will start to feel better.

She said to tell you Hello.

Thanks Annette.  It's good to know she came through OK.  Tell her we are thinking of her.

Hi Eileen and all my OFF friends,
Puttering along on the afghan for my niece for her shower gift.  I did terrible eating yesterday.  I've corrected that today.
Going to Boy Scouts tonight to harass the parents about selling tickets to the Sweetheart Dance, bringing in raffle prizes and volunteering to work at it.  100% of the profits go to the boys for camp and trips, so you would think they wouldn't need prodding.
Going tomorrow to get the permit for the dance from the police dept.  They also arrange the fire police at the dance.  The two they sent last year were worthless.  They didn't get up and point out the exits to the crowd.  Everytime I saw them they were sitting on their a$$es.  I had to tell them to patrol the aisles for obstructions and by the exits.  Patrons bring coolers and such.  We don't allow candles to be put on the tables.  I looked at a photo of last year and yup . . . somebody had candles on their table.  One of the fire police didn't even look up from texting when I haranged them about checking out things.  It costs us the equivalent of one boy going to camp to pay for them.  I will argue the necessity for two of them with the Fire Chief this year.
Hubby retires the end of this year.  I'm starting to think about eliminating all the unnecessary expenses before then.  We were going to get a new car but now I'm thinking we need to get something cheaper than we first had planned.  We also talked about remortgaging so our payment is lower every month.  We did a fifteen year mortgage seven years ago.  I don't want to be paying a $2000 mortgage payment every month after hubby retires. It should cut the payment in half.  So I think we'll remortgage for 30 years.  I'll be dead by then so DS will have to worry about selling the house and repaying the mortgage. LOL.
Work is slow and I'm procrastinating on what I could work on but don't like to do.  I don't think our company is going to be around long either.
That is another good reason for getting our monthly costs down.

I hate cooking supper because I don't get home from wor****il 6:00 p.m. so then it's a rush so we don't end up eating too late. I need a vacation to get out of this whiney mood.  Or at least a mental health day by taking a sick day when I'm not really sick.  It's only January though so I better suck it up.
My thoughts are with each of you with parents to care for, health issues and jobs in jeopardy.
HUGS,
Bev
