Oh Karen, what a time for you!  I've been so worried about my friends and family in So Ca, they just aren't prepared for this type of weather. Where we're from, the far east side of San Diego County, the ground is decomposed granite and doesn't soak up the water. It will be a mess, for sure.

Please take care to keep up those calories!!! Now is not the time to worry about keeping to a plan, but just keeping up!

Love ya!

Susan

Aloha darlin.....Yes, I was not greeted with sunshine and rainbows, but instead an ugly storm.....one after another. There are so many trees where my kids live....I am afraid one of them will fall....and power will go kaput.

I am trying to keep up calories...even had a chocolate ice cream cone this morning! Living on yogurt, protein bars, and whatever I make for dinner for everyone. Even my son says I'm too skinny.....but it's not for trying to lose......it just stays the same or goes lower...no matter what I eat!

Small potatoes in the big scheme of things going on right now!!

So happy to see you!

Aloha nui loa,

 Welcome to California Karen,
Glad to have you on the mainland for a bit.
We are in the northern part of southern Cali., up in the high desert. The snow is beautiful, the rain has really been helping our dry trees. The winds have been a little hairy- scarie, no real damage in our area. Last night our satellite service went out.  Outside we went, broom in hand , the snow had built up a thick layer of ice and snow on our dish, after a bit of elbow grease, we be good.
The Freeway up to our road was closed last night, to much blowing snow. Just heard on the news the freeway is open.
We are staying warm and dry, made a hugh pot of chicken soup yesterday , we are going to stay home and snuggle in.
Glad you are with your babies, enjoy your nap, hugs dear one, Peg in burrrrr, So-Cal.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

AND ALL OUR HERO'S

Aloha cutie......So wonderful to see you. I am thankful that we are having only rain and not snow! I'm not used to driving in rain, let alone snow. My son has satellite TV, too....and how tricky is that???? I have figured out how to get regular TV, but not so much luck on playing movies yet. I am not technically programmed ..... Ha!

Me, too, on staying home and keeping warm. That's what I'm doing until I have to pick up first kidlet at 4:30.

Take care, stay happy and feel the hug coming your way.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
