Good morning all.  Good day today.  I guess it's good.

Went to the doc this afternoon about my shoulder.  Not the rotator cuff or cup.  Bursitis and tendonitis.  At least that is what he believes right now.  He said it could be the other, but we have to rule out this before he will do an MRI.  So, I got a shot of cortisone  and made an appointment for 4 weeks.   He wanted to give me Mobic, but I told him no, no.  NSAID.  Sure glad I remembered that.

It was beginning to feel better until I went in to see him.  Which is fine, because I want him to be able to see it.  Like going to a mechanic because your car is making a noise and you can't get it to do it in front of the mechanic.

Went to work at the part time job right from the doc.  Watch American Idol and The Human Target.  I like The Human Target, but Mary and I discussed it.  It is sort of McGuyverish.  Totally unbelieveable, but entertaining.

I also received an e-mail from a fellow OHer on the TMB.  Gave me some info on job availability in the DFW area in my field.

I have had others try to help me too, already.  Not going to put in any applications yet, want to see what happens first.

So, what are you guys/gals up to?

Hi George,  and those yet to follow,

Good luck with the shoulder.  I had bursitis in mine once and it is really painful.  I hope it gets better for you.

Oh don't blame you for waiting on the applications.  Never know what could happen.

I wrote to my son because he hasn't been home for two days and I just told him I loved him.  He wrote back saying he loved me too.   He is out looking for a job.  He told me several he applied for.  Which is good news.  I think the incentive is that he and his girlfriend want to get an appartment together.   I am glad he is looking.   This might be just the thing that motivates him.  I think he was in a depression after he lost his other job and had to go to jail.  Loosing pretty much else.   Hopefully, he will get his spirits back and confidence and do well.  I can only pray for him.

Nothing else new.  I have hurt my knee somehow and am having trouble walking on it.  Which leaves excercise out for the moment.  Going to crochet this afternoon and stay off of it.

I hope everyone has a nice day.  Keep smiling!

Heya all

Sorry about your shoulder George... I hope the shot helps...

Pouring rain here... I no longer have a backyard, just a swamp with fence sticking out of it. If I end up buying this house I will have to do something drastic back there... it just doesn't drain.

Inventory at work is almost over... yesterday we finished with the A-4 rifles... the most difficult to inventory because we have to many and each one has to be scanned with a hand scanner... bleeech... not a lot of fun.

Weigh****chers is going well.... still amazed at how easy I just fell into step with it... kinda like it was meant to be! I keep struggling with the idea of it though... I mean, my brain just wants to think of it as a diet, and it is not a diet... it's a lifetime way of eating, but I keep wanting to check the scale and think stupid things like "I hope I lose 5 pounds this week" when I should be thinking "I sure feel better now with the healthy way I am eating"

I hope everyone has a great rest-of-the-week and weekend...

At least you know what you are supposed to be thinking.  LOL

I am struggling right now.  Want to lose 12 or 13 lbs.  I am weighing in every Monday on the Texas Message Board as a way of motivation.   I started weighing myself everyday again (I had stopped for a while).  I lost 4 lbs between Monday and Friday.  Then sat back and watched 4 football games over the weekend with "not good for me" snacks.  This weekend it will be cheese and fruit.

Is your yard normally a swamp?  Here in Texas, it is always a swamp because we don't have dirt, we have clay.

I'm at my son and DIL's for a while helping out with Joshua.  As I type he's laying propped up on a pillow next to me on the couch.  Just finished feeding him, I took the night shift for the kids so they could get a full night's sleep once again for a change.  Josh was great during his 2:30 feeding.  He ate and went right back to sleep.  He knew Gram needed her sleep too.  I guess now he's up for a while, because he's just so wide eyed.  He's six weeks old now, and appears to be smiling on purpose, in response to our talking to him.  What a precious gift he is.

George, I had bursitis in my shoulder too and they gave me zylocain shots in it after the first cortisone.  It really helped.  This was several years ago.  Now I have rotator cuff problems.  Not severe enough to do anything about tho, thank God.

I'll be here through Sunday and then I'll head further down state for my monthly poker game with the girls on Monday.

Marc, sorry to hear about your swamp.  We had that problem and had a drain field put in the back, which really helped.  Now that we've moved it doesn't really matter any more.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday leading into a wonderful weekend.

It hurt really bad last week.  Yesterday it was "okay" until he started messing with it.  The worst was when he told me to put my hand behind my back.  Bend my elbow to reach up the back as far as I could.  Got the tailbone. The the pain started.  And he started pushing it up higher.  I think he stopped when he thought I was going to hit him.
