Afternoon George, OFFr's,

Sorry to hear about your shoulder, like many others, I, too, have had issues with one of mine, which acts up periodically. . .

Marc, I live between two neighbors who have flooding issues in their backyards, for some reason, thankfully, I don't have those issues, the one neighbor has put in a drain system and still seems to have a lake whenever we get really heavy rains and this year there has been a lot of that. . .  hope you can get yours addressed satisfactorily. . .

Anyway, work has been busy and I have not had the time to be on here too much, this is good, job security?  Anyway, just wanted to pop my head in here and say hi to you all. . .

Oh, last night I took a Zumba class, what a workout it is, I am sore all over, but I made it through the whole class, not that I have the moves down, but I kept moving and I will be going every Wednesday evening, just not sure how well my knees are going to like it. . .  I need to be careful and not cause myself an injury. . .

Well got to get back to work, my lunch hour is over. . .

Take care, hope that you all get through the day with a sense of accomplishment and or joy at having lived another day.  Wishing you strength to get through lifes biggest challenges.

Laureen

Aloha George.......When you described your shoulder before I sorta thought it might be what I have......calcified tendonitis in my right shoulder. It was so bad I could not brush my teeth or squeege the shower. I've had 4 cortisone shots....and each time I get about 4 or 5 good months. Doc said next time it gets back I need an MRI but this last shot has lasted a long time.....so I'm thankful that. Hope your problem is as easily solved as mine was.

Sorry to hear about your job.....so MANY of my friends are having to make major life changes because of the economy. It can be very scary.

Good luck to you!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

No sense in me worrying.  No matter what, what will be will be.  My worrying won't change a thing.

Hi George and my OFF family:

Kind of pissed off at my employer today. Still taking out half my paycheck and sending it to the bankruptcy trustee. I got the letter last week Tuesday saying it was over, and they sent the same one to my employer that the deductions should cease. They should have gotten it the same time. So I e-mailed payroll and HR and asked why this was continuing. I needed to get a full paycheck so I could pay some bills before I become unemployed. I wanted to get some dental work done but I have to pay my bill first ... now I won't be able to get it done because I won't have the money because I didn't get the full paycheck .... arrrrrgh! I know I'll get repaid, but I need the money NOW! It's my money and I want it.

So while I had my FSA yet (I had planned to put $3,000 in it but won't have put that much in it by the time I'm laid off), I decided to stock up on some OTC stuff today ... FiberCon, stool softeners, plus my prescriptions. Wish I could buy vitamins too, but they don't count those as eligible.

Not much else going on. Had some shopping to do, but not much. Had to buy some cards, some cat supplies while they were on sale, fill up the gas tank, a few groceries. Wanted to get my tax software (had a good deal) but will have to wait until next week because I didn't have enough left from my still less-than-half-a-paycheck after paying my heating bill (that ate up most of the money).

Kind of on a downer lately. It comes and goes. Some days I feel hopeful, some days bitter ... lately it's bitter. As I told one coworker yesterday, they don't want me, so I don't want to be there. She said that's not true ... well, yes it is.

Anyway, I had to get a pep talk from Mary Kay yesterday. Don't know what I'd do without her. She's having rotator cuff surgery on Monday.

Have a good day.

Thanks. It's hard to come into work every day. I don't have a lot of energy anyway, I'm in pain all the time, and knowing I'm a short-timer that they don't want makes it less worthwhile. So I'm doing what I have to and nothing more.

It is my  understanding you can get vitamins included on FSA, by having your doctor submit a letter.  Because of our surgery, vitamins are a necessity, not an option.  I have not tried to do it because I go through my $3500 each year rather quickly.
