Mary, just had to respond about the shower.  I finally got up the courage to take one today, LOL.  It's been sooooo coooooooolllllld here in the mornings I just couldn't bear it and I don't like taking showers in the afternoon or evening.  I'm a funny duck I guess....

Good morning, ya'll.

Well, NC got hit with that storm.  I know, not 'hit' according to you folks from the North.  I used to live up there, and to us getting 'hit' with a storm was 4 FEET not 4 INCHES.  But now I'm a southern gal, and my perspective changed. The 4" of snow fell just about 60 miles from here.  No snow here in J-ville, just freezing rain.  Our high yesterday was 33 and will be 32 today.  Low of 20, but wind chill of 9 degrees.  Another jammie and cocoa day.  I'll be making a big ol' pot of soup later, or maybe chili.

Anyone like 'cow tails'?  Those caramel things filled with white yummy insides?  Our grandson brought some down yesterday and I had one. OMG, I wish I had a ton more.  OMG, I'm glad I DON'T have anymore.

My partial refill has given me some restriction, but still not optimum.  Can't wait til March or April when I can go get a fill with fluoro and I'll know I'm where I want to be.

I see Dr. A tomorrow and we will map out the rest of my chemo treatments.  I am really hoping she will let me start this week.  I know my blood work was fine.

Everyone try to stay dry and warm.  So glad our electric didn't go out.  So glad our heat pump is working great.  So glad I can afford to pay an electric bill that may be double the norm.

Everyone have a fantabulous day!!

Cow tails!  My DH is totally addicted to them.  Whenever he goes to Wawa, he comes home with 2 dozen of them.  :P  I like them but not to that extent, lol.

About the snow, yes, it's all relative, isn't it?  When I used to live in MD, people went into a panic whenever a snow storm was approaching and they'd flood the stores to buy milk, bread, eggs and toilet paper.  You'd think we'd be snowed in for weeks over 2-3 inches.  It's different in NJ and I guess it's even different further north, like Buffalo or Maine or in the midwest where they get lots of snow.  :)  Chili sounds delish.  I love chili or thick homemade pea soup on a cold snowy day.

Hi!!

Hard workers here.  Let me introduce my self..I'm MJ from FL and NH...snowbird.

I was a very active member here in 2003.  I can't remember if they had the over 50 group though. I found my doctor through OH and at that time, this site was so active it was unbelievable.  I had the most beautiful profile with flowers and angels that a fellow member at OH designed for me.  I logged in everyday.  One day the whole thing was GONE.  It felt like I had lost my "home" and really was inactive here from that day on.  I think it was 2005 sometime.

Anyhow I am here!

Today is a hair cut this morning and a dinner dance this evening with my DH of 50 years.  We are going with a group of 10 total, live band, should be fun.

Thursday is my brachioplasty so I intend to really dance up a storm and have a lot of fun!

Have a wonderful day everyone!  MJ  :-)

Welcome back MJ.  This OFF (over fifty forum) is very active, and understanding.  You'll be glad you found your way back.
I think I'd love to be a snowbird.  We retired in Northern Michigan and today I'm freezing.  Never was cold before WLS.
Stay warm and enjoy FL.

Good morning Carla and OFF,

Carla - lucky you!  Have a safe, fun trip.  Glad you are liking your job.

We have a dusting of snow outside, but Maryland and Delaware were hit with lots more.  It's bitter cold.
Today finds me working for a few hours and then hoping to enjoy the rest of the day with DH.

I was sorry to read that Marc left.  We usually don't have conflict here at OFF, at least for the year I've been here.  I hate to see anyone with hurt feelings.  Hopefully, the conflict will be resolved and everyone will get along peacefully.

Happy Sunday!

Debbie,

I normally don't respond to these things.... I know of no conflict with Marc....other than my personal reasons for blocking him which are mine, and mine alone. He did nothing to me. It was just personal choice.  So he should have no hurt feelings from me.
