My heart goes out to you and your family.
I've been sick for several days with the dreaded stomach virus that circulated around the nursing home where I work. I tried to get them to quarentine the hall where all this mess started last weekend to contain it but I got nixed on that. A week later, half the staff have come down with it and it has spread throughout the facility. I went home at noon on Thursday with a 102 temp. feeling like c&%p after they finally decided to quarentine the whole facility. I woke up about 3am yesterday and felt a lot better and decided to slip into work and try to get some stuff done in my office. I only made it about 2hrs before my temp returned. I am feeling much better today though. I'm thinking about walking down to the park today if I still feel up to it later on. I took this opportunity to get back on track with the carb monster. Since I didn't feel like eating for several days anyway, it made it easy. I also have been working harder at getting in all of my water and drinking less coffee. My husband always knows when I haven't been getting enough water. He says I start looking all shriveled up, lol. I'm glad he is so supportive. Gotta love him.

Today looks like another wonderfully warm day. Our temps have been in the upper 50's during the day and freezing at night. This is typical for our area this time of year.
In about a week we will be having our dreaded rainy season.... it will start raining and not stop until about the 5th of July..... lol
I've been watching a squirrel uncover the nuts he has buried around the yard. There are little holes where he has dug up the peanuts a neighbor feeds him.
I've also put a few primrose in pots to give some color to the patio. They are so colorful and cheery to look at.
Today I have no plans and hope to putter and take care of a few things that have been nagging at me. Plus, the winter olympics are on and fun to watch.
Have a fabulously fun, funny day.

Hi Pat and my OFF family:
Yeah, we're waiting for the big snowstorm. It's supposed to hit here after midnight and snow all day Monday. I have an appointment morning, but if it's snowing, I'll probably cancel it. It depends on how hard it's snowing. I'm not driving in that mess into downtown Grand Rapids if I don't have to. I was going to get together with a former coworker for lunch after my appointment, but I won't do that either if it's snowing.
Pat, I stay up late for the Olympics, but then I'm a night owl and midnight is nothing for me. I actually stayed up til nearly 1 a.m. this morning. But then I took a long nap in the afternoon. I was really tired yesterday, so I was able to stay up later Saturday night. And I got into my new book by Sharon Kay Penman, "When Christ and the Saints Slept." This one is about Queen Maude and King Stephen ... Maude is the mother of King Henry II, and this follows into Henry's marriage to Eleanor and his rise to power. It's the first book of her trilogy. I loved the last book (unfortunately, I'm reading them out of order, but I got "Devil's Brood" through the Press book sale real cheap).
I started filling out the Social Security disability form online ... wow, I only did part of it and it took an hour. My knee was hurting so much, I had to quit. I'll go back to it today. And I have to go back to the medical portion because I forgot a couple of doctors, like my chiropractor.
My brother and I are busy planning our Williamsburg vacation and getting excited about it. He is going to buy our Williamsburg tickets early so we can pay for them now and be able to budget better. It'll be fun to go on vacation with him again.
Well, not much else planned for me today. Watching the Olympics, doing laundry, reading, cleaning litter boxes ... my life is so exciting ... oh, and tackling the disability application online again. I need to make some turkey rollups too. I've been out of them for awhile and I really like them. Got the turkey and the cream cheese, just have to get my butt in gear to make them. They're so good!
Well, have a good day. Pat, I hope you're feeling better.

Good Evening Pat and everyone!
Mary, thoughts go out to you and your family. What a horrible tragedy to have in your family.
Well my big news of the week is that I did NOT get the job in the UP. I was the prime applicant for a good long time, but someone with experience that already lives up there applied and they chose her since she lived there already. I was kind of upset, but if it was meant to be, it would be is my philosophy!
Not much else new with me today-this week, this month what ever! I had been trying to clean up stuff and start packing but now just going to keep purging JUNK from the house! I did work on the garage today a bit and got the decorations up into the attic this afternoon. what a job that was! I will be sore tomorrow I think! Now need to so some more laundry and then watch TV for a while!
Hope you all are doing well!
