Tuning up for Tuesday- What's going on?
Good morning, ya'll.
The temps just keep climbing. I am lovin' it. I know it will go back down for awhile, but that's OK. I love Spring and Fall here. Warm and no humidity. Summer is way too sultry.
Today I go in to have labs done. I'm sure the results of the liver enzyme tests are back, but I won't see the doctor until tomorrow. Drat! I sure hope she will restart my chemo this week. I only have THREE left and I want to get started!
My DH is finally feeling better. I slept back in our room last night. I had been sleeping in the spare room while he was sick. All I need is another reason to put off chemo - I do not want to get sick!
I am praying for all of you that:
1 - have health problems, that you are getting a handle on the problem and feeling better
2 - are struggling with jobs (finding one, keeping one, and/or putting up with a bad one), that things ease up and you are able to muddle through
3 - are having family problems. Have patience and love. Things will work out.
Everyone have a fantabulous day.
Glad you slept well. I didn't. I was in pain most of the night. I can always tell when I'm due for another injection in my back ... I go to the chiropractor more often. I don't really want to go again this week, but the pain was shooting down my left side last night and kept waking me up.
I had a really nice lunch with my friends Sue and Kim at an interesting restaurant called The Electric Cheetah. Very different food. Sue ordered sweet potato fries, and I had a taste ... very good, but they could have gotten them a little crispier. I had a pineapple pulled pork sandwich (didn't eat a lot of the bread) ... the pulled pork had this pineapple salsa on top that was very good. It was fun sitting and talking with Sue and Kim, too. Funny, too, that my former boss is asking for volunteers to cross-train on sports ... and here I was, working sports and I got laid off. I was the one person who could do it all.
I was able to watch the White Sox spring training game online yesterday. They lost, 5-4, but still, it was fun. And we've had such springlike temps here, so that made it even nicer.
I have an appointment with my psychologist this afternoon but I don't think I'm doing anything after that other than coming home.
Well, have a good day.
good morning mary and OFF....
another beautiful sunshiney say here in willoughby ohio!!!! going to be in the 50's today and even warmer tomorrow!!! i will take it!!!!! BUT....talk of rain and then the temps falling again later in the week...but it WILL be nice for my 2 days off!!! yippeeeee!!!!

today i have made up my mind to go get fitted for a new bra!!! i am so tired of the ones i have now that are all falling apart!! they are playtex and not sure why they didn't last long and ofcourse i can't find the same model anymore so now its a new bra for me and a new brand.
the pesky woodpecker is back again pecking on the apartment near my bedroom window. driving me nuts listening to it...makes bandit go to the door to see who is out there...lol
well i have the last row to make on the afghan and i am done with it!!!! wooohooooo!!! i will be happy to get rid of this one for sure...lol like i said i really didn't care for the colors she picked out and maybe that is why its taken me so long to fini**** have to think of someone else to make one for and what colors to use. maybe ricks daughter? she likes purple and pink and black...not sure i would use all three together but its a thought....sighs.
well best get my butt in gear need to get things done around here so rick sees i DO do things around here when i have time off from work....LOL have a great day and know i AM thinking of you all!!!! :-)
Do you put your bras in the drier? If so, that ruins them pretty fast, as does the washing machine, always better to hand wash, however, I don't, but never dry them and usually can get a year of wear out of them, but that is having at least 4 of them. . . I'm jealous that you will have off for two days when the weather is nice, I am sitting here at work today knowing that it will be 60 and this weekend it will be raining and colder :( If I were at my old job, I would definitely have taken a mental health day today, but can't do that here :(
Enjoy your days off.

hi laureen...yeah i put them in the wash and dryer...i have never ever had my bras fall apart so fast as they do now!!! i am going to get me a mesh bag and use that to wash them in from now on. went and got fitted and was told they go on sale tomorrow so now i can get 2 for the price of one!!! worth the trip back to dillards for sure!!!! :-)
got the car washed also while i was out and hated to come back to the apartment because of the big and i do mean BIG potholes!!!!! went really slow so hopefully it didn't get to dirty...
yeah i know what you mean on the job because i would also do the same thing if i were you!!! but look on the bright side...you are going to florida and it will be alot nicer there i am sure!!! make sure you bring back some heat for us all!!! ;-)
Hope your sister can find a reason to be happier soon, perhaps the more springlike weather can cheer her up. . . Salmon sure can stink up a house, but it tastes so good, try buying one of those boiling aroma scents when you do the salmon and perhaps open the window a crack or two. . .
As for me, well, let's see, the weather here is supposed to be beautiful today, up near 60 and I am at work, in the old days, I would have called in a mental health day today, but that won't fly now, oh well, I will get myself outside at lunchtime, but then I just might keep walking ;) It is nice to wake up and have some sunlight outside, gives me time to play with Roxie in the morning before I feed her and get into the shower, as well as do a poop patrol (lol). . . and then coming home at night the sun is still out and then next week we will have a full hour more of sunlight in the evenings, more time to enjoy Roxie and hopefully get some outdoor things accomplished when I get home. . .
Right now I am looking forward to this week and next being over, as I am flying down to visit my daughter's and the Florida grands (Samantha & Dylan), as Sammi is celebrating her 12th birthday! I will be flying next Friday after work and coming home the following Tuesday night, so I will have 4 full days, hoping the weather there will be sunny and 70/80s.
Ok, I'd best be getting back to the job at hand, like it or not, it's a job and in today's climate, a job is a good thing. . .
Have a wonderful day and prayers and positive thoughts going out to all, whether you need 'em or not!
Hugs, Laureen

I am not sure I will be making salmon patties again. I didn't like them. So, my husband will be safe from the smell.
Do you make tilapia? If so how do you make it?
Thanks about the concern. It is just a bad time for all of us here. I am hoping we hear some good news for a change
Thanks again
Peace
I am on my way. What a ride it has been.
