Exercise - Let's get moving......Tuesday
Ruth, I just had an epiphany. . . or maybe a self slap along the side of the head. The scale moved down 2 lbs finally. . . . Do you think if I continue to do 4 one hour sessions at the gym each week I can maintain or even lose more? This shouldn't be new to me; it's what I did for almost 3 years when I was losing steadily. What made me think that I could stop and not backslide? Why or why do I have to relearn these lessons?????
So even tho I have a luncheon date at a friend's I went to the gym first thing this morning. That one hour session, 30 minute treadmill variety program, and 30 eliptical variety program translates into over 3.5 miles in one hour and a lot of perspiration. The old sweaty, stinky kind!

Hi Ruth and All: I have been faithfully going to the gym 5 days a week. MWF I do aerobics (with old ladies like me) at 10 AM but I get there 45 minutes early so I can walk the track 1-2 miles, use the machines before the class. Tues and Thursday I go to walk 2-3 miles and work out for at least an hour. It is so muddy and wet on the streets and sidewalks but I do walk my little Shih Tzu "Bentley" for 15 minutes a day . I can hardly wait for it to dry up so I can walk the bike/walk path we have in our town. Some days I hurt so bad when I get out of bed (fibromylagia) that I have to force myself to go but once I get there it seems to let up. I guess my PCP was right when he told me to exercise. I hope I continue to be so diligent. It also helps with depression. It's been so cloudy, gray and foggy around here for a long time.... I NEED SUN !!!!!
I think of all of you even though I do not post often.
Love & Hugs,
Sandy
