Hi Nancy and Welcome to a forum of peers, we are a friendly bunch here and there are some Cali folks, they just don't post every day. . .

I am someone who has never made it to my personal goal, but am happy with my overall weightloss, so it's no big deal, especially considering that I have not been this size since before the age of 18 and considering I am now going on 55, well you get what I'm saying. . .

Maintence is mostly about realizing that if we don't follow the guidelines given to us, we can and will gain weight.

Best wishes for your continued health and keep coming back.

Laureen

Cali here and remember you from the Cali boards.

Morning OFF
taking a few minutes break and just want to say Thank You for the great welcome from everyone ^_^    It' always scary (at least for me LOL) to take the 'plunge' and post to a new forum/discussion group...but by all of the responses, I can see that I worried for naught. ;-)  Thank you again for your gracious and warm welcome...I look forward to getting to know you all better.

Nancy aka Sunray
PS:  Cassie...so so sorry to hear about the situation with your grandson..keeping you and yours in my prayers for a quick resolution to the issue {{{HUGS}}}

Hi Nancy and welcome to OFF:

I am about 5 and a half years out, maintained my goal for a while but recently regained 20 pounds. Some of that is due to lack of exercise, some of it is due to eating too much of the wrong things. I'm trying to remedy both. It's hard when you get this far out. But I don't want to revert to the old "obese" self. Having to get bigger jeans woke me up.

This is a good group of people. Feel free to join in.
