morning carla and OFF...
not much new here today...looks like another warm day here going to be 60 or maybe a little bit higher...wooohooo!!! most of the snow is gone now and ofcourse the "landmines" are out from the tenant dog up here in my building....she still hasn't cleaned up after her dog....GRRRRRRR
got a call from ricks mom last night and she had to tell me that jerry (ricks step dad) loved the afghan!! and he also said he didn't know i was so talented...haha she said it looked great in her living room and they both love it alot. she also said a couple of the women where she has her cafe also complemented on it and one wanted to take it home with her.... i told her if they wanted me to make one for them i would do it for a price....she said she would let me know if they wanted one or not.
susan so glad that you are ok from the storm last night!!!! we are supposed to have maybe a thunderstorm tonight or tomorrow. can't wait...lol rick and i both love storms. ;-)
grammylew...sorry that your hair is falling out now in clumps!!! but glad that you are doing so well!!! hang in there!!!
sorry i forgot already who posted so i can't respond...i have CRS ya know...i hate those times it strikes me!!! but i am reading your posts and i am thinking of each and every one of you!!!!

Hi Carla and my OFF family:
Mostly all the snow is gone and I can see green outside. This morning, I heard the birds chirping outside the window while the cats were meowing by my bed, wanting me to get up and fed them.
No staff meetings for me because no job. Nothing to go to. I do have some shopping to do today and I have to go get my license plates and handicapped sticker renewed. Usually, I go to Meijer, but the secretary of state facility is down by this other store that has most of what I want on sale, so I'll go down that way today, then to Walgreens to pick up a prescription.
"Crazy Heart" was really good but after I saw the movie I was walking around Barnes & Noble to browse and get ideas to buy for my grandnephews' birthday presents and I started to feel really sick. So I wound up going home instead of getting other things done. Didn't feel good for the rest of the day. Don't know if it was too much popcorn or what. I thought I was going to barf in the store.
I've already applied for two jobs today. Not that I'll get them but I'm plugging away.

Today is going to busy for me again. Have errands to do and then take my sister to the foot doctor for her staph infection. I am so worried about this.
Found out this morning her son is going to be arraigned tomorrow morning. He has so many charges against him I am afraid they will put him away for a long time. I don't know what all of us will do. My sister will be devastated. Very stressful for us.
I need to color my hair. God , the roots are showing and I haven't had time to color it. I try to part my hair different to hide them.lol
Hooked up with some of my girlfriends from High School. We all want to meet. Hopefully, I can make it and the weather will continue to be good. It is sunny here today but they are calling for rain over the weekend. The dogs get so muddy now when they go out. Terrible.

Grammylew, so happy the prognosis is good. It's only hair, it will grow back. Got any cute hats? LOL.
I'm using my lunch hour and a little extra to go get a manicure and pedicure today. I haven't done anything to make myself feel especially pretty lately. I'm looking forward to feeling pampered. This is in preparation for my niece's wedding on Sat. The forecast for Sat. is rain. I hope it's not a spoiler for the evening wedding. I was thinking of wearing open toed shoes but now that doesn't sound like a good idea. I haven't had a chance to go see if I could find a new dress so I guess I'll just wear an old one. I need to get my camera ready for lots of picture taking.
Hubby and I will be going to a breakfast benefit Sat. morning.
I'm so excited because we have made our reservations to go visit our son and the grandkids in April. I can't wait!
Hubby brought up buying our car last night. He wants to try another one this weekend. He said it looks like we will order a car since none of the dealers have what we want in stock. So that means I'll get my blue car. yay!

Just a very quick fly by today. Sounds like everyone is doing okay....more or less.
I am doing okay but my cold is definitely coming back...darn it!! I have been going to bed at 8:00 ever night and napping when I can....it just wants to hang on.
I have to be better by Monday as my Nic (grandson) will be here for the week. I can't be sick or he can't be around me....UGH!!!!! Prayers please!!!
I need to get back to work....I will check in later.

today finds the sun out and no clouds in sight...finally! Weatherman is predicting 70deg sunshine by the middle of next week..soooo looking forward to that ^_^ DH and I are scooter riders (DH rids a 600 Honda and I ride a 400 Suzuki)...I even ride mine to work when the weather gets warmer.
Today is just work, nothing major, just getting payroll completed and some bills paid. Tonight will be another early to bed...I am so tired of this cold! But at least I am finally sleeping thru the nite instead of waking up 4-5 times turning over so I can breath.
Carla, happy to hear the 'adjustment period' with Shorty is going so well. Those first few nites can become 'all niters' til they adjust.
Grammy...wonderful news to hear the liver has recovered...and that you only have 2 chemo treatments left. Don't worry about the hair...it'll grow back..in the meantime...you can look 'mysterious' and debonair with all the cute hats you can wear ;-)
I forget names very easily (I apologise!) but to the one who lost her editing job....I know the job market is quite daunting right now...but keep your chin up...and make the best of this time by taking care of yourself! Treat yourself special...you deserve it ;-)
I hope everyone else wil also treat yourselves special...women are such a nuturing character that we forget we deserve the good things in life also!

"Maybe" I can post. Lately the computer doesn't behave unless Tom is standing over my shoulder. It makes no sense. I push buttons and it freezes. He does the same thing and this (grrr & swear) computer behaves beautifully. My man obviously has the right touch.
