Saturday-- In Sunny Orlando
Seems no one started this yet, so I will. . .
Had a delay in the airport, but otherwise got here ok and while my daughter and granddaughter are still asleep, I figured I would hop on and see what you all are doing this morning. . was a nice surprise for my granddaughter, she did not know I was coming, we will celebrate her birthday tomorrow. Also great seeing my grandson this morning, he was asleep when I arrived last night. . .
Not sure what's on the agenda today, defintely going to the food store to buy some food I can eat without too much guilt, the rest of the day we will wing it. . .
Take care, have a great day, prayers and positive thoughts for all.
Hugs, Laureen

Thanks for getting us started this Sat. Morning
I bet it is nice to see the kids! How fun.
Today I am going to do a little of everything. Work in the yard, take clothes to the goodwill and go grocery shopping. All the fun stuff to do!
I think this is the last nice day we are going to have. It is suppose to go back down into the 30's this coming week and MAYBE the dreaded snow. Bummer. I long for spring so much.
Well everyone have a great day. I got up too early again and wandered around the house, trying to get motivated to do something..lol So far, no luck
Peace
I am on my way. What a ride it has been.

Wow! Everyone's sleeping in today! Or maybe I'm just up and (semi)functional earlier than usual. Or they're outside taking advantage of the beautiful weather that will soon be a memory.
Laureen, thanks for starting us off.
As soon as I finish my coffee, I'm headed out for groceries. Fridge is pretty bare. I hate to do it on a Saturday monring, but I think I'll concentrate on enjoying being out and about instead of getting irritated about the number of people in the check out line, as I usually do. I don't need much, just staples. Might pick up a few supplies for the garden while I'm at it. There's always a bigger list for those things than there is for food....
Going to the movies tonight with my neighbor to see "It's Complicated". I could watch Meryl Streep read the phone book and enjoy it, and it's supposed to be a fun movie. I missed it the first time around.
My daughter-in-law suggested I make a paper chain to count down till retirement, and tear off one loop a day. I think it's a great idea! I think I'll use one color for work days, one for weekends, and one for the days I have to use up in May before my actual retirement date. Trust me to have to make it complicated! Then the challenge will be to keep the cats from shredding it. They'll think it's some new toy that I made just for them!
Gonna add construction paper to the shopping list.
Everyone have a great weekend!

Happy Saturday! It's supposed to be warm and lovely today! :)
Have a wonderful time in Florida, Laureen!
Last night, I went with Bill and Kristin (son & daughter) to the high school to see "Beauty and the Beast". The play was just into its very first number when the fire alarm went off and we all had to evacuate the building. We had to wait for the fire marshall to come and "clear" the building, waited and waited and finally decided to take them up on the offer of being able to get in to see one of the other performances. Oh well. Trying again today, haven't heard the school burned down. :P
If grandson comes over this afternoon will be taking a nice long walk with him. If not, will head over to the school to catch the play's matinee.
Enjoy, all!

It's not quite 7am here and I'm trying to be quiet as my household is still asleep. Nate and significant other Kristin arrived about 7pm so we had a late dinner followed by visiting. They have a wedding to go to this evening. About the last of Nathan's high school friends who wasn't married.
I think Nate's going for the record. That's ok with me. He'll be 29 in April. I think he's finally getting to be about "marriage" material. I love him to death but he's been a slow learner when it comes to "grownup" stuff. I'm proud of him in many ways. He's kind, a hard worker, responsible, and loves his family. He tends to not take care of his possessions as well as I wish he would, can be a bit of a slob (tho Kristin seems to have helped in that line!), he's a procrastinator (tho the end result usually turns out fine, just drives me nuts! Guess that's more my problem than his) Man, did I get off track there.
Erin and baby Briley seem to be doing fine. She'll have another ultrasound on Monday and our hope is that the hematoma is healing and getting smaller.
Finally got to the gym yesterday. Have maintained my 2lb loss from a couple of weeks ago. Now need to add more to that. Seems like the 3-4 days a week at the gym for an hour doing about 3.5 miles on two programs is what needs to be done. Don't especially like it but if that's what it takes I just have to do it. Who said I would like everything that is necessary in life??
Laureen, soak up some of those Florida rays from me. It's beautiful here but still quite cool at night time. I hear the fans in the orchards going this morning. When it is this time of year they have to be so careful with the fruit trees. I'm glad we don't live any closer to them. We're about 1/4 mile away and the fans are still quite audible. Then when the fruit is ripening they have these sound "guns" that go off to chase the birds away. . .
Seashells, pretty little ones for me to make bookmarks with Laureen? I've only been to northern Florida but the beaches there were beautiful, white sand. Would love to go back some day. Enjoy your time with your family there.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
