Second trip to ER in 6 days!
The ER was quite busy and it was almost 2 hours before I saw the doctor. By the time he got in to see me, my pain was gone. He thinks I possibly passed a small stone. So I'm on liquids for the weekend. I don't want this to happen again while we are here.
Feeling good tonight. We're at the hotel and ready for bed.
I sure don't want to have another surgery since I'm only 3 weeks out, but I don't want to have that kind of pain again either. I'll see my PCP when we get home. I did call both the surgeon and my PCP and they both told me to go to the ER. I was already at the ER before either office called me back.
So I'll be celebrating my Mom's 80th birthday party tomorrow by toasting with a protein drink.

You sure have had it rough. I hope it settles down for you. I don't know. In my opinion once you have a gallbladder attack it just doesn't go away forever. When I use to get them they were brough on by dense meat and something fatty. Towards the end I would get them on everything. I think you should talk again to your wls surgeon and ask what he thinks about the gallbladder. I know some people who have had the surgery, their doctors take out the gallbaldder at the same time.
Please be careul and get your docs advice. I don't want to see you go through anymore problems this early out, or for that matter anytime.
Let us know what your surgeon says.
Peace
I am on my way. What a ride it has been.

Hmmm, my surgeon gave me something to help prevent gallbladder issues, as for our bodies, processing all that fat, which is what the gallbladder kind of does, is often too much and it is not uncommon for people to lose their gallbladder as a result of this surgery, some surgeons even do a scan before surgery and if it shows that it might be an issue, they remove it when they do the surgery. .. but all surgeons are different and I for one, would not want to lose an organ, just in case and as it turned out, I still have mine. . . hope you find a solution without adding more ER visits. . .
Best wishes to enjoy the rest of your visit with relatives and your Mom's 80th BD party.
