SOLD

We sold our rental property downstate.  We decided that since we live in the north now, we didn't want to be bothered with renting property 4 hours away.  We put it up for sale about three weeks ago and got an offer last Thursday.  We countered and they accepted.  We signed the papers on Saturday.  Now it just has to pass the home inspection and the appraisal.  Our realtor is confident that there will be no problems.  This past year we completely renovated it with a new kitchen, tore out the paneling and painted everything, the entire interior.  I could live in that house again!  I love how I designed the kitchen, but I love living the north.
The sun is shining in our window and all of the ice is gone on the lake.  It looks like a piece of glass this morning.  A perfect day in northern Michigan.
I even lost another pound while I was away. 
LIFE IS GOOD.

It is a stressful thing to put up a house for sale, especially four hours away.

congrats on all accounts. Maybe you can take some of your profits from the sale and re-do your kitchen....

That's a definite possibility.
