Rowing and sailing down the river. What's on your plate today??
Hi all!
Things are almost back to normal around here, well, as normal as they ever are. That means my eating will be doing the same. Yipeeeeee. Routine is our friend, isn't it? Most of us seem to do better when we plan and don't fly by the seat of our pants!
I'm posting two recipes today, wanna make up for yesterday....lol
http://www.recipezaar.com/87744 This is for an "Impossible Vegetable Pie", one of the series from Bisquick that were so popular years ago. If you substitute low fat ingredients for the full fat version you'll be good to go. I always use a 10 oz bag/box of mixed veggies, any variety works. This makes a great and easy dinner, and the leftovers are great for breakfast, too
http://www.recipezaar.com/236953 This is for a Chili Rubbed Tilapia, but I'm sure any fish will do.
Here's my day as I see it right now. It's early yet, so we'll see.....LOL
latte, protein coffee
SBD mini quiche, mini bagel
protein coffee
baked chicken thigh
applesauce and cottage cheese
Mahi Mahi ( I'm going to use the chili rub on it, will let you know), broccoli

Proud of you! I'm sure you'll like Fitday once you get it going. We eat a lot of non-mainstream stuff on our diets, so there are a lot to log as "custom" foods. But, once they're in, they're there!
I'll be interested to see what your caloric intake is. It looks a little on the low side for how far out you are. Let me know

Mornin'
I'm following the thread every day. I'm not planning ahead too well, but I'm eating OK, even remembering most of the vitamins and calcium. I'm maintaining the 4-5 lb loss I've managed over the past few months.
Is this what they call maintenance???? After almost 4 years, it feels like it might be. I'm still very aware of everything that goes in my mouth, and 99% of the time the choices are good ones. Thank you, Susan and all, for helping me make myself accountable.
Today:
B: cottage cheese and fruit
S: nothing, late breakfast
L: grilled turkey and cheese sammich
S: cheese sticks
D: large tossed salad with tomatoes, chick peas, and turkey
S: yogurt and granola
S: a little trail mix
It's damp and foggy today. Gotta get some tomato soup to go with the sammich, I think.
Everyone have a good day.

Yep, maintenance is quite the different concept for us, isn't it? It's all part of the adventure.
I have one of those AM/PM weekly pill boxes next to my toothbrush. Since filling it up once a week and keeping it there, I haven't missed a dose in well over a year. I just never, never leave the bedroom w/o brushing my teeth, nor do I go to bed w/o doing the same. It's so easy to remember to take all of them that way. Since I don't take iron I can take my calcium with the rest of them, too.

Hi Susan and OH buddies:
Here is today's plan:
B - High fiber tortilla (12 gr) quesadilla
S - muscle milk light
L - lentils and couscous
S - fiber plus bar
D - Thai fish, 2 oz yogurt
They'll be wacking off my thyroid on March 30, so I'll be spending Spring Break convalescing, and the rest of my life taking thyroid hormone replacement. Oh, joy.
Happy rowing ya'll,
Maria

I'm not much of a recipe person, but I'll try.
Quarter and core a small apple. Microwave it until soft all the way through. Plunk a dollop of Carbmaster Vanilla on it, sprinkle with cinnamon, enjoy. Let the non-gastrically-altered beg for a taste.
I've been eating a protein bar (I use Pure Protein, I like the nutrition and the price) each day as a substitute meal while driving dad around. No other changes in my dietary pattern. Weight is dropping about two pounds a week. Maybe the protein bar, maybe stress but a good result on the scales.
Ahh, does a cup of half-caff coffee n one hand and a carton of chocolate Muscle Milk LITE count as a recipe? Hot coffee and cold light muscle milk seems to help with the taste and texture and it does keep me from thinking about food for hours.
Apologies if that is a repeat recipe, generally I just grill, slice and eat. And repeat.
