It's Hump Day, how are you?
winding down this portion of the job with friday being my last day- we have made plans to drive to wisconsin next wednesday for a few days- will be good to catch up finally with the inlaws!tho we have tried this for so long that i will believe it once we are finally there!
if michael is serious about going to hawaii soon; he needs to do something about re- homing his birds. i can feed them and water etc but i truly have no desire to be their mom.....he feels that he is not being a good enough caretaker for them so i say it is time no matter what --however; he needs a push i guess.....
this weekend, my brother is buying the wood to build me a clothesline--- it'll probly be industrial strength if i know him! mom's is 4 lines wide and i think mine will be too.i want to be able to hang the sheets and comforters and towels out at least! love it! and i think we are altering the back deck steps--taking down a rail on the one end and adding steps so it's kindof a walk thru instead of only accessed from one end.....and i want to figure out some "fence" to hide the propane tank and electric pole....tight quarters tho for what i would like to do.
i did actually empty four boxes yesterday but got nearly nothing done compared to what i should have. also; changed our home phone number ---now no one has it-mom and michael's brother.....guess i'll keep it that way.without caller id it is easier to know who it could be than to deal with michael......
i saw some disturbing memory losses yesterday that didn't "jump" out--i was paying attention tho--and so i am worried about him.....
my dad is home from the hospital-when they went in to remove his tumor, it was too large and they feared it would burst - so 6 weeks of chemo and radiation then they'll go in again. doesn't sound enjoyable to me......
well....need to get some breakfast and somehow my coffee cup is empty! work today and testing this evening--need to call for propane delivery first!
hugs and prayers......
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

After 2 nights of reasonable sleep, I feel wonderful! It doesn't hurt that the sun is shining and it's not raining.
I have a ticket to go see the producion of "Grease" tonight with a friend from work and some of her friends. I've had the ticket since December, but actually forgot it was coming up. A nice surprise! The theater is downtown (in the big city), and it's been renovated a number of times, and it's absolutely beautiful, back to the gorgeous architecture of days past. I may even wear a skirt!
I work tomorrow night, and am looking forward to the weekend (Fri/Sat) off. Wedding shower Saturday...andother excuse to wear something other than scrubs or sweats. I like that.
I've started going through my closets, getting rid of things that I know I won't wear. I have a few favorites that I wear all the time, but I'm still cleaning out from the shopping craziness I did when I first lost my weight. Most everything was consignment or thrift shop, and it won't hurt too bad to get rid of them. The things I bought new (probably most of them on closeout...) are the things I seem to want to keep.
I'm keeping a few sets of scrubs in case I decide to do per diem work down the line. There are a few things I'll pass down to some of the girls at work, but most of my stuff is too small for them. NEVER thought I'd be able to say that! So it'll be back to the thrift shops for them, unless I find someone who can wear smalls and a few mediums.
Gonna go get moving. The sunshine looks to good to resist.
Everyone have a good day.

It's kind of overcast today and 34 degrees and I hurt all over. I finally went to that senior center pool in Jenison yesterday. Very nice pool, very warm (89 degrees) ... lots of people ... the person in charge even brings treats (she had some crustless quiche and hot dogs in biscuits). I walked for about 45 minutes, did some stretching and exercises and talked with this one woman for awhile. I was there for a longer time than I expected. By the time I was done, I was very sore and tired. So today, I'm hurting down my left side and both knees hurt. So I'm not going today but will go again tomorrow. Maybe I'll go to the chiropractor this morning.
I'm starting to do this work on my freelance job ... boy, he sent me a whole lot of work to do, so I'll be busy for long time, so that's good. There's a White Sox spring training game on this afternoon, so I'll work when I'm watching the game.
Anyway, I'm glad to see that Pat can drive again ... what good news! I know this has been really tough on you, Pat.
Well, have a good day.
the new work, the new pool/exercise, new spring season of MLB, new attitude about your former job....and a vaca to look fwd to!!!!
whoo hoooooo atta girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My boss "farmed" me out to another agency to do a project, so I'm full time again for a few pay periods, and that will help the family finances. We also got our taxes done and they are going in the mail today, as we are getting a hefty refund. My consulting business dried up last year, and I neglected to reduce my deductions... so, it was like "enforced savings" and we can surely use the refund now. It will help with some of the medical costs we are bearing right now.
I'm feeling good, still keeping a watchful eye on Michael, but he is doing better and is so encouraged with his weight loss. Life is pretty good right now AND Spring is on the way!!!
Have good days, or as good as they can be!

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...
Today has just wizzed by...only 1 1/2 hours to go and I get to go home. Today started out great as I dumped enough water to get back down to my lowest weight as posted on my ticker...guess I was eating too much salt because I sure haven't been eating much of anything lately. All protein w/a little veggie thrown in..must be the canned veggie's (mostly spinach) that did me in.
My co-worker bugged me enough today so we got back to our daily walks...back up to 3 miles. Thank goddness for her persistance; I admit I tend to slack when not pushed. :-( Got all of my labs back...everything well within the 'normal' ranges except for my D, which I expected. Everyone has been telling me D is the hardest to keep up so once I saw the lab results, bought me some little red pills, 2000iu (ui?) and started taking them. I have a 'phone consult' with my surgeon tomorrow so will run it by her for validation.
Other than that, routine, routine, routine LOL Suppose to have a small chance of rain tomorrow afternoon but Friday and the weekend is suppose to be back into the 70's. Think I'll get the old man out to play some minature golf...in the meantime, I'll beat up his Mexican Train LOL
Hope all are doing well...maybe the storms have finally past for you all back east? Sure hope so...I know you could use some drying out time.

Just a quick hello. I subbed today at the middle school where I used to teach. It was fun to see old friends. Then I went to the gym and exercised for 1.5 hours covering over 4 miles. Worked up a good sweat and am now home. Doing a bit of computer time and reading the paper.
Each day is getting a bit nicer, warmer, and lighter. I love it. Working out in the flower beds, trying to figure out which are weeds and which may be flowers that I just can't identify yet. I'm anxious to get some annuals but it's a bit early for those yet.
We're having navy bean soup and a salad for dinner. Soup was in the freezer. Gotta love those frozen meals! I need a shower bad. Hope you all had a great day.
