Thursday thread -- what 'cha doin'

Just a quick check in as I have a busy morning today. I wor****il noon and then am off until Tuesday. Lots of work related things to wrap up before the long weekend.

I went out this morning for my 3 mile walk...I started that again this week. Love the quiet mornings. That is my praying time.

Hi Pat and everyone,
I was going to start the thread when I got home from work last night but was to tired and miffed off still. I got a new Honda Fit on Monday and yesterday morning carl was backing out of the parking space at 7 11 and hit a car!!!!! I was so pissed off at him I made him get me some new shape up sketcher shoes!!!!! So the car is in the body shop getting fixed. I cant drive around a bashed up new car!!!!!
I have to work today and forgive the sunny day out here.

Good mornin' ya'll. 

Boy, am I late today!!!  Had LOTS of other stuff to do on the computer.  I make myself do this last, or I'd never get anything else done.

I made my plane and hotel reservations for a quick trip to San Diego in 2 weeks.  That will include a run over to Tijuana so I can get this band looked at under fluoro by my band surgeon.  I think I still need a slight unfill. I discussed summer plans with our daughter in OR.  When her and the kids will be here (June).  When my DH and I and 2 grandsons will be going to OR for our oldest grandson's wedding (Aug).  The whole logistics of cars, hotels, etc.  Then the DH and 2 grandsons will fly home before me.  I'll stay an additional week to babysit the grandkids while my daughter and SIL go away for their 20th anniversary.  My reservations to NY for my 45th class reunion and to bury Momma's ashes (July).  Plane, hotel and car all covered. In May we're going to NE for my DH's 50 class reunion, but we are driving to that.  Just have to do hotels while there.  But since I'm not sure how long it'll take to get there, we'll play that by ear.  I used to be able to do it in 2 days, but I don't know if we'll have the stamina for that this year.  Our bladders and legs and backs are getting older and need more TLC.

Now it is in the 70's and I'm gonna get out and plant a couple of lilac bushes I bought.  Oh, and also get the TomTom charged and program in some destinations.

I've been throw away stuff.  Odds and ends of containers with no tops, odd socks, old junk, just randomly filling trash bags. 44 years of "why am I still keeping this" trash. The cats better be good or they will end up in a bag too. (just kidding)

Friends are coming over tomorrow for lunch and a whine session. We'll probably do a whole bunch of gabbing and laughing too. It's kind of tricky to think of a meal for RNY friends. It will be fine because we are getting together for company. The food is incidental. Although
I think I told Marcy we should do beer and chocolate cake. Horrors!!!

The dryer just buzzed so I need to get going. Beautiful day to clean.

Thought of you and your black cat clan today. My friend Jeanine, who runs a cat rescue, had two beautiful black cats. One was a short hair cat with a very thick coat named Coco; the other was a big 1-year-old long-haired cat named Gus who she is afraid might not get adopted because he has a Stage 5 heart murmur. She said he could grow out of it but you can never tell. He was a real love bug. What a sweetie. She thinks he might be a Maine coon mix because of his size.

She must have about 40 cats (my Aby Diva is there ... she didn't recognize me and hardly let me touch her).

Well, I gotta clean house ...got a showing tomorrw while I'm at the dentist.

It sounds like Miss Diva is in capable hands with 40 brothers and sisters. Jeepers, she could have let you touch her.

Every time I go to the SPCA it is agony not to bring home a couple more cats. Common sense prevails plus Tom's threat of making ME do litter duty is a good reminder.

Today I'm trying to get more rest than I did yesterday.
My legs (especially around the knees and calfs) are SO SWOLLEN they hurt!  I think I need to spend more time actually laying down not just sitting in bed so I'm trying to do so and that means less on the laptop (unless I balance it on my belly and I can't do that cause even that got cut this time).  
I'm not complaining and trying not to whine just want it all.....want the surgery but want a super quick recovery so I can get back to my normal routine.  I swept the kitchen floor yesterday and would love to vacuum the house but am holding off for now.   I hate not being able to do all the stuff I want to do...it's like being trapped!!  Anyone else enjoy doing house chores or is it just me??

Anyhow..... other than my recovery I have nothing going on.  I finally sent in my Census form and last week sent all my paperwork to the accountant for my taxes...haven't heard back from them yet.....guess I'll wait till tomorrow or Monday before I call for the news.

The weather looks beautiful outside today.....wish I could be out in it but I am enjoying looking at the new buds on the trees and sparking water in the pool thru my bedroom doors.....
