GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
Good Morning George and Friends,
Started a post to Eileen and ended up posting most of my what's new there also.
George, it takes all kinds to make a world I guess. Wish I shared your baseball enthusiasm. I like to watch a game in person but I mostly watch people, smell the smells, see the sights. The game itself is like watching grass grow, only slower to me. If I personally know a player that helps.
Mike can watch it 24/7. It always amazes me how many games they play in a season. One time I marched through the room as he was watching the Mariners lose yet another one and commented "Don't they EVER get a day off???"
Now the hotdogs, the music, the 7th inning stretch that I can enjoy! I am happy for you tho that you can so enjoy it. And spending time with the grands is like the commencial says "Priceless!"
It's raining hard here so my exercise will be inside today. Mike and I are sticking pretty close to our carb counting plan. He can't remember what he weighed at the doctor. . . What? He'll call and find out when we get home. He says his jeans are looser already. That's good, he really needs to lose at least 50 lbs if not more. With his back surgery and foot problems it can't help BUT help.
Erin and Josh are going out on a date tonight so we'll plan something fun to do with the twins to distract them. They are starting to use little sentences, so cute but so hard to understnad. "Anna mo!" ( I want more) "Do it adin!" ( I want to do it again), I'm "Awmaw", Mike is "Papa". They are finally warming up to Grandpa. When they were little he could hold them for hours; the past few months they were standoffish but they are coming around again.
I brought some plastic easter eggs over. On Sunday we'll have a little egg hunt out front. My mom had a big hunt in her terraced back yard for many years. The kids would hunt eggs then the Easter Bunny (Aunt Karen) would rehide them over and over until they were hardly recognizable. Sometimes we'd find an egg in a hidden spot in like July! Fond memories. I was just 10 when my oldest brother started having kids ( they had 5) so I had a lot of fun with them as they grew up.
Not much else going on in my world. Think I'll make a pot of soup, mostly veggies, a bit of meat for us to fill up on. Mike is missing the "volume" that he is used to consuming. I'm sure he's missing all of the crackers that he would consume during the night. But we're surviving!
Wherever you are have a nice day.

Work has been crazy-busy and besides that I've had numerous doctor appts. Hoping those will slow down for a while. Everything is going well though, and the weight I've already taken off is helping with my health.
And... I'm moving and exercising - walking, riding the exercycle, even dancing. It feels so much better and I don't run out of breath so much. What a wonderful thing that is! We take so much for granted. I feel so lucky.
Michael is doing well, still gets tired really easy, whether that's from his dialysis or the WLS he had a month ago. But he's losing weight and feeling pretty good. It will keep getting better, I'm sure.
Easter celebration is at my brother's home Sunday - siblings and spouses and nieces and nephews will gather for a meal and to be together. I'm looking forward to it. The weather has been spectacular, and even though Friday and Saturday it's supposed to rain, Sunday is predicted to be sunny and nice - maybe we'll be outside. Mmmmm LOVE SPRING!

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...
George....you are BASEBALL....have a great season!!
Nothing much happening here. No work today...YAY!!
I am going to start tanning again today. I haven't tanned since November....I like to take the winter off and give my skin a break.
The sun has decided not to shine today...I miss it....the days just seem happier when the sun shines!!
Have a great day everyone....prayers on the way for those in need.
Love and hugs to all.....connie d

I'm feeling full of energy and strength this morning but I know I have to be careful not to do too much. It's only been a week since surgery I really need to focus on healing but it's so hard for me to just do nothing and rest.
I'm killing time by reading recipes on the web (thanks to Susan)....getting some yummy ideas but then I want to cook them and shouldn't yet so it's a catch 22..LOL
I'm also looking at websites for cruise deals......think I want to spend my next birthday in the Caribbean so I'm looking for a good deal.
Well I think I'll go and start with lunch.....I'm going to make fishcakes (1 can tuna, 1 can salmon, onion, spices, seasonings, etc.....browned in pan with olive oil) and stuff them pita pockets with chop salad.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

I'm at work. A lot of co-workers took the day off. I'm saving all my time off for visits to my grands. Still working on that boring project but I think I should finish today. I'm scanning documentation that was never made into software files from 1988 to 1996. I call it scanning hell. At least I'm getting lots of exercise going from my cubicle to the scanner/printer and back.
We are spending Easter with my Mom, one sister and one brother. No kids are going to be there. My brother has three but this is not his weekend to have them. Sis is making a pork roast because Mom has to cut down on the salt and can't have ham. I'm making scalloped potatoes au gratin. No salt, we'll just have to rely on what's in the cheese I put in it. Brother is taking care of the veggies. I'm going to make a light dessert too. I'm thinking of a raspberry cream pie made with sugar-free jello, pudding, lite cream cheese, etc. I'm going to make up a recipe.
My nephew's girlfriend got her beauticians license so I'm going to have her come to my house and cut my hair. I'll pay her exactly what I would pay to have someone cut my hair at the salon. She does my sister's hair and is pretty good. I'm expecting that soon we'll get the announcement that she'll become my niece. I hope so, she is a great girl.
Well, back to scanning. Have a great day everyone. Judy, I hope your latest shots helped.
