I am so sorry about your loss.  It does hurt to lose our pets.

julia...i have been offline- your post caught my eye first.....

so many of us on OFF have or have had furbabies..so many of us have had to share this same story lately......and so we do know what you are feeling....i want to surround you in hugs right now......

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I am new here, but wanted you to know that it is never easy losing our companion animals.  She will be at the bridge waiting, and playing.  My heart goes out to you and to your daughter.

Julia,

I posted to your response to me yesterday, but as I am trying to catch up on all that I missed while I was busy with my life lately, I just wanted to say once more, I know how your heart aches, as do many others, who just this past year, lost their four-legged family members, I am sure that Dillinger and so many others were there to get Darla acquainted with her new surroundings and one day, I pray to be reunited with my Dillinger and whatever other four-legged family members I have seen cross the Rainbow Bridge.

I still want "God" to explain what he was thinking by not giving our four-legged family such short life spans. . .  Makes me really sad knowing that very possibly one day in the future I will have to mourn another loss in my family, but I will continue to open my heart to the kind of love that is offered by the canine family. . .

Hugs and prayers for you to find some comfort in knowing you gave Darla the best home possible!
