I've been pretty much out of the loop all week, was just wondering if you'd heard anything from Texas?

Ya the 70.00 a month I pay to At and T for the sym card in my notebook hurts the pocket book!!!!!

Good morning, Margo and everyone who follows!

What a wonderful week--one of those awesome rare breaks when each day is beautiful, relaxing and, well, couldn't have been better!  It'll be back to the "grind" on Monday.  Is this my life once the youngest graduates high school?  Ooooooh!

As for what I've been up to ... basically, just enjoying the weather and going to whatever doctor appointments were scheduled.  TB and I decided that each day we have no appts to go to we're going to go off day tripping and have quality time.  It's fun.

Today ... hopefully we'll be seeing Little T.  The weekend promises to be beautiful too.  I imagine we'll be out walking since his mom doesn't have much in the way of imagination or energy.  When it's TB and me, we usually like to go to the park or zoo or something.  Oh well.  Doesn't matter...it's the time spent that is important.

Good Morning Margo and Friends,

 I've been subbing in the schools part time recently. It's turning out to be about 3 days a week and I'm loving it. All ages, all levels.  I taught for many years.I never liked the responsibility of regular substitute teaching. So this is subbing as an aide (now called a para-educator!) . I arrive, I'm told where to go and what to do, I do it then go home! Lots of variety and I'm putting the paychecks in a separate travel/ upper thigh lift savings account. I'll probably be about 90 when I have enough for the thigh surgery, but it's better than nothing.

Today I'm dragging Mike to our fairgrounds for a "Cowboy Gathering." We have a local radio show called "Legends of Country" on Sunday mornings. They are sponsoring this get together. It's been going on for 7 years and I am finally going. Lots of musical acts, vendors, dance lessons all at the fairgyrounds. It's all weekend but we're going out later this afternoon to catch some of the new acts that will perform. Mike hates big crowds and enclosed spaces. He should be able to have plenty of room for this and we can walk, sit, or rest anywhere we want. Should be able to hear music form all over. Some acts will be outside on the main stage, some inside in the commerical buildings, some on the two small stages in other areas of the grounds.It's a bit breezy out, but the sun is shining so hopefully by early afternoon it will be nice.

I made  it to the gym 3 days so far this week. May not make it today but will tomorrow. Slowly but sure the extra weight regain is coming off. And the only thing that is causing it is the resumed exercising vigorously. I don't like it but "it is what it is" so I'm just going to have to do it if I don't want to end up right back where I was 5 yrs ago pre WLS. And I know I DON'T want that.

Hi Margo, so good to see you on-line....don't see you here much lately  You were very kind to me when I first started posting so I always smile when I see you here.

Nothing new here today.
My swelling has gone down some, but not totally so I'm taking it easy again (man what a boring broken record I am!).

I'm laying on top of the bed and enjoying the sunshine, blue skies and green grass through my sliding glass doors.
