Brrrr, it's so cold in here. Our furnace needs to be replaced and we hired someone, but who would have thought it would be this cold in May? Anyway, I am bundled up in the office with my space heater on drinking a protein shake -- I know, crazy drinking a cold drink when I'm already freezing - lol - but I love my protein shake for breakfast.
It was a quiet Mother's Day. We went to the cemetary, went to the slots, and then had a nice dinner. Relaxed last evening and now it's back to the good old grind of Monday - lol

Good Morning!
It's raining lightly but I don't even care. Had a nice evening with my son and his GF Krisitin. Today I'll head out about 9am and stop to see my sis in law.
Then I'll drive a couple of hours to Copalis Beach. I'll go for a long beach walk and check out a couple of summer rentals. I'm sure a cup of wonderful clam chowder will be on the menu for lunch!
Then back to Erin's in time to do after daycare time with H and C. Can not believe how much more verbal they have become in the past month since we saw them last.
Happy Monday everyone. It is spring at last. Let's get out there and enjoy the longer days, blooming nature, the smell of spring.

It's 49 degrees and windy but sunny at least. I wish we'd get back to the warmer weather so my body wouldn't feel so miserable.
I was trying to apply for my unemployment benefits for the week and the system was down; damn! I need to get my money and now I have to try again. I need to get some interview clothes. I have a pair of black slacks and a dressy shell; I'm thinking of getting a jacket or blazer ... need some comfortable dressy shoes (hard for me to find those kind of shoes ... the only dressy shoes I have are sandals and the heels are a little high for me (still only an inch and a half, but for me that's high). So I need to do some shopping before my interview.
I'm going to a Pink Slip Party this afternoon. It's a chance to network and pass out resumes and maybe meet with recruiters. I doubt they'd have anything in my field, but it's free food (cash bar). I'm going with another laidoff coworker so I won't have to drive. I wouldn't have more than one drink anyway. I've got to print out some resumes; I've already forwarded the organizers my resume. Should be an interesting gathering.
Well, that's my day ... hope yours is a good one.
I had a great day. Gary went out to IHOP and brought home breakfast so I didn't have to cook,OR get dressed. Then, we went shopping to return an outfit he bought for me that was too big. Not his fault, they were the sizes I told him to get. The kids came last night with a wonderful dinner all cooked and ready to serve, and we had a wonderful visit. I'm such a blessed and lucky woman!
Today is the ususal day off stuff. Laundry, grocery shopping, etc. Not much fun, but the party's over, time to get some stuff done around here!
Okay, off to start the what are you eating thread. Looks like we're down to about 3 people eating on a regular basis, so if you want, come join us!

cold and frosty this morning but the sun is out and it looks gorgeous.
i lost my cell phone saturday-found it this morning in the back yard in some tall grass-ouch! two days and ites out in the weather- will see if it works when i get home tonite....my son had called yesterday and left a message-
i really don't wanna talk about my weekend- it was not good- reflective...quiet but not good.
nuff said for now.

My day yesterday wasn't the best. I was sad. I miss my children. Oh well...I have to deal with it for now! I did talk to both my daughters and all my grandchildren....that was so nice...I just need to see them soon!
I have mounds of work to do for my job...a usual Monday...Ugh!! I best get back to it.
